It has a type C port so usual data cable would not work on it.Always use the original charger and dataport

It has a slightly wider pin for charging so don't put the usual pin on the cable in it. You can damage the charging pin

Congrats Xiaomi the first Android Vendor who has Type C port in all new line up series now even very basic phone is equipped with Type C now

Is 3GB RAM variant of Xiaomi Redmi 8A will be available in Philippines? Because it said in specs it has a 3GB ram option if you like a higher ram.!!! I don't want a 2GB ram I want 3GB RAM so please be so sell the 3GB ram variant of xiaomi redmi 8a in the Philippines. Can you anyone rply about my opinion.

There's a 4GB 64GB variant for the 8A released in china. I have bought it at about 100 usd. Waiting for it to ship over. I don't see a point in getting the Redmi 8. Its either the 7A or the 7 for the budget conscious. 8A for those that wants the 5000mah and type c.

Qualcomm is better, also, you can install Google camera, in MediaTek devices, you can't (for example in Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro)

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2019More capacity compared to redmi 7a, that is you will have a... moreYes i know it have more capacity (4000mAh vs 5000mAh), but, also, screen is biger (5.45" vs 6.22"), i ask in real life usage, if someone have Xiaomi Redmi 8a, to write about battry life compared to Xiaomi Redmi 7a, 7a have good enough battery, so i guess 8a will be even better, and for second device it seems pretty good, like i said, now is about 85 euros, for 10-15 days will be even cheaper.. Yes you right 8a have 8mp front, 7a have 5mp froint, i also like fact that now use CGG5 and have 2.5D glass (7a have flat glass). I think, back camera was also 12mp in 7a, in Global (and China) versions, but 8a have better Sony sensor 363. Thank you for info

If it's more expensive the... moreUpgrading to a flagship one is better, These Redmi phones' specs are very similar compared to previous. I could saved more by not purchasing redmi 6A to 8A.

Price on aliexpress 85 euros for 2/32GB, Global version, 15 euros more than Redmi 7a (with same config).. So, can anyone tell us, because its on sale in India, how is the battery life, compared to Redmi 7a (5k vs 4k) is it better, or same?
