This is a worse phone for their price. so many issues for 2gb ram device (Ex: youtube is always stuck and can't clear watch history sometimes , 4g band very poor signal connectivity , call receivers can't here our voice properly and we also can't here their voices properly and always keep the voice level at boost level then only we can here their voices in average sound. Monthly Not receive the security updates properly and always delay for security updates and google play store updates. somany apps can't uninstall from device and it's taking unnecessary storage for device internal storage and ram use.).
Thank god , this is my first Redmi phone that I use in my life. Because I plan to buy redmi 12 phone for my day to day usage. But before i buy the redmi 12 i brought this Redmi a1 phone to check the apps performance , security updates , device support and device hardware quality.
I think miui 13 is crash with google apps , that's y youtube isn't working properly and other issues are still there in Redmi a1 phone. May be miui 13 is very heavy os for this outdated quard core cpu and graphics performance.

Dont hope anything from this phone, so lagging phone even with expendable ram
If u have low budget, save ur money to buy better phone

It's almost impossible to watch YouTube in this phone, if you're looking for look budget phone this is NOT it, its so annoying to use it. I regret buying it.

For low budget segment this is worse phone from redmi.
Redmi MIUI is waste and link with other apps (ex: redmi cleaner , clock , feedback , chrome , internal storage and youtube ). First miui should removed from this low segment phone.
Privacy and security updates need to check always until next 2years.
Nokia c21 plus is better than this phone.

a month ago i purchased this redmi a1 for the 1st time with xiaomi phones.. 2/32gb.. i notice the screen for youtube is excellect with 4k videos ..itrs awesome bright and vivid... it doesnt lag.. but when i tried mobile legends it was ok in general playable.. but it lags when 5 against 5 members attacking.. but the worst part is it doesnt connect to my pldt wifi (5G) however it does connect with pldt 2G ... for a 4000 peso phone ..this will do.. but if you check with infinix/tecno brand you will have better quality and storage... for 1k additional ... and these phones are heavy duty also.. ( just for comparison)

02. Check the gmail account the device registered to your own account.
03. Check the internet setting.
04. Restart the phone and check the update.
05. Create the email account and check the update.
06. Wait one or two days and check.
07. Check your coverge for signal strength.
08. Check the data balance.
09. Check the device permission in your google account and check the trusted devices in your google account.
Sorry I also dont know where is widget, I think android go edition doesn't have that widget.
This phone is better for it's price. I like this phone.

Better to reset the phone and check again bro.
Note: before reset check the monthly system update and miui update also. The current miui is version 13.0.13 with october month security update.

1. Google map.
2. Google chrome.
3. Google go.
4. Google one.
5. Google email.
Other than these apps google android go edition doesn't have lite version. Why google not have lite versions for their apps? and why they have google android go edition?.
Play store have only few lite apps, I think we better to shift to hormony os, it's privacy and security is better I think. Specially browser is awesome for privacy and security.

I bought this phone recently for 60 in the uk. And I think it's plenty good enough. I use my phone for calls , texts and streaming videos , for me it works perfectly well. It all depends what you want to do with the phone as to whether it suits your needs. If you are a gamer or want to use lots of power intensive apps then it's not the phone for you. For someone looking for a simple phone, or a child's first phone it is ideal. People have become too used to flagship phones, of course any cheaper phone will pale into comparison against that. This phone isn't trying to be a flagship, it's just trying to be practical

i bought it because my redmi 9 broke, is a good one for the price, just because u can put 2gb more of virtual ram, the system is fluid but lags in all aps, i recomended use lite versions of apps and is perfect for the price youtube lags with videos of 60 fps, just use it with a low resolution
