What about internet connection, have you tried changing IP to somewhere else such as by using a VPN?
The last option would be to get rid of HyperOS and flash a custom rom, but I don't think there's any available yet.

Can anyone share about what are the most interesting features available on this phone? Especially the Ultra Lamborghini Edition?? I bought it already, and tried to explore. It's just that some apps are mainly Chinese language built.

Ghanesh, 08 Jan 2025I purchased Xiaomi Redmi k70 ultra with china rom in Singa... morehi, you can try to turn on all the permissions and notification settings by press and hold on the app, then select info, you will see permissions and notifications just by scrolling the screen, turn on all the available options there. Good luck.

This is insane for this phone due to D1 chip (Dedicated graphics) and is actually a first device from Xiaomi to have this in collaboration with MediaTek... (if not mistaken)
120hz is the cap for system-wide UI navigation...
Which a standard in most Xiaomi phones these days
This is not a bug, it's a feature.

One of the few downsides of having imported Chinese variant (Xiaomi);
- lack of support
- warranty is technically void (it can't be claimed)
- Chinese language system-wide, in prompts and some apps (no way around this)
since you have reported it to community, you can also try the ff;
a) tap and hold app icon > app info > 3 dots > Report (just use google lens)
- this way you can report specific apps issues
b) Settings > Feedback
- at least you can nudge them here, expect little to no replies
For Google apps, to properly work
c) Settings > Additional settings > Accounts & sync > Basic Google services
I would suggest you do factory reset, but entirely up to you and first do (c)
Since having a Chinese version phone got its downsides, the upsides are;
- cheaper price (savings) offset
- faster system updates release
- extra features and so on...

I purchased Xiaomi Redmi k70 ultra with china rom in Singapore during October 2024. I have been using it since then and here are summary of issues I am facing.
issue 1) initially I faced lot of issues with WhatsApp incoming call notification and it got solved like 80%, but at times phone doesn't show incoming call notification. at time shows the notification. don't know why. Problem is sometimes phone rings but you can't see the notification, you have to go inside the WhatsApp to see who is calling and then pick up. Sometimes notification won't show within WhatsApp also.
Side note : WhatsApp data never got transferred successfully from old phone to new. But that's WhatsApp ugly issue.
issue 2) Serious issue : on 20th December 2024 I travelled to India. after a day of normal working, from December 21st 2024 many apps stopped working, started crashing. Apps are Gmail, google fit, Uber, X, microsoft teams and Singapore Singtel GOMO and so on, simply crashes. google map stopped showing routes. I managed with waze app and it works fine. however, I can access Gmail, uber, X via Chrome browser. not sure why those apps started crashing after Dec 21st 2024, until today the problem exist. Even Amazon app crashes.
I reported the issue to Xiaomi community forum and there is NO, No response.
issue 3) Apps like Microsoft Authenticator works but when there is incoming notification, the app crashes. this prevented me to signin into my work network and have me big headache. why should telhe app crash upon incoming notification? mystery!
note: I did everything like uninstall app, clear cache, reboot, shut down restart and reinstall each app mentioned above. nothing worked. apps keep crashing.
issue 4) though this phone is 5G, India's JIO 5G sim card not able to get 5G bands only 4G+ works. however Airtel 5G works great. Data roaming 4G and 5G speeds worked well via Singtel and Airtel networks. I am not sure why Jio 5G band is not picking up.
issue 5) Mi Get Apps app and App vault app shows many menus and options on Chinese language. I don't know chinese and I could not read them. I want to change install the Global rom Of Xiaomi Redmi k70 and hopefully solve these issues.

As of Antutu v10.4.2, the K70 ultra score is 1,385,905 (1.4M) ... wow, very far from 2M+ a couple of months ago
p.s. 12/256 variant, updated to HyperOS 2.0.13 (CN)
YT reviews hit 2M a couple of months ago... such a big drop

Wezo, 18 Dec 2024Go for the new one which is k80K70 ultra hits the spot for me... I appreciate the suggestion..
• Dimensity 9300+ (outperforms SD8Gen3, some scenarios)
• The design, overall look and feel in the hands (Black on this one) not into boxy feel of the k80
• 120W charging (couldn't let this go, sadly)
• GPS in Dimensity chips, are fairly more accurate than Snapdragons down to a meter accuracy as opposed to few meters, much needed for navigation
• Battery management is better in the Ultra
• and so much more

I just bought this phone from geekwills.com in Honk Kong (China) at $400 USD and it was sent through DHL for a $29 USD shipping fee. Four days later the Phone is here in Canada and now DHL is asking me to pay another extra $42 CAD for Customs Duty before they will deliver it to me. At the end of the week I will find out if it is preferable to get all these other $1,000 USD phones (iPhones and S24 ultra)outrightly or on a two years contract. I can't wait to see the difference between Chinese ROM and Global ROM and even see the difference in UI. I will know if next time i will avoid this stress or continue to go in this direction of getting the Chinese ROMs. Experience is the best teacher.
