This phone doesnt have a dedicated proximity sensor, it uses a combination of the "pick up the phone" gesture and it emits an ultrasound on the upper speaker that is picked by the noise cancellation mic. So it sometimes doesn't work, check if that's your case, use some app like "Sensor readout" :)

Can someone from European Union post his experience with this smartphone?
Are there some big hardware issues that can't be solved or you believe it can be solved in a future by software upgrades?
I am tempted to take it cause my old smartphone can't receive 4G, and battery dies out in an hour of making a voice call... plus I see this one has 4GB or RAM, superAMOLED display and Android 11.

So if anything seems to be not working properly, and your warranty is still active, just keep going there, easy. (In Indonesia at least, I don't know how things are in other areas)
Had my note 8 battery replaced in 2 hours, they had an event going too so it only costed 6 USD to replace it without warranty.

You know it's literally illegal and Xiaomi can get sued to death if they use Samsung's "Super AMOLED" name, and lie about their parts providers right? Of course it's not a high-end display, it's a budget phone ffs.
Objectively it's pretty good, it's just not what you're used to and what you would perceive as quality. You're expecting gamuts that stretches over DCI-P3 by quite a good amount if you're comparing to the flagships, this screen literally hits 100% sRGB with good color accuracy.

Only touch panel samsung is written in the relevant place. It is not certain that the manufacturer is samsung. It is not a good quality samsung amoled even if it is real. Please don't call people a troll without knowing them.

I have heard of flickering displays though, so yeah buy with caution.
My model and 2 of my friends don't have that problem though, so it's a bit of a rare gacha maybe? Nothing an RMA can't fix.

I do get what you're saying though. Samsung, and other phones that uses AMOLED/OLED displays tend to have really wide gamuts but this model hits over 100% sRGB with really good color accuracy so, just not what you're used to I guess. Personally I'm a sucker for sRGB compliant displays, not a big fan of oversaturated colors as I rarely consume content that isn't sRGB graded anyways. So yeah, just what you're used to really.

I think it is the amoled screen of a cheap chinese company. I asked Xiaomi about the display manufacturer but they didn't answer, they changed the subject. Those who use lenovo p2, or samsung with amoled display, also those with good eyes will definitely understand.
