        Ive always been a Samsung user FYI, but I think I'll have to switch brands cuz A32 and A22 are way overpriced while A52 is just not in my budget

          I've just bought a new RN10P it came with MIUI 12.0.6 and I was thinking to update. But hen I've found many testimonials suffering from each update... I'v got 4 days with the phone and is quite good, I've checked minor problems as screen flickering with 120Hz after 4hours of continue use, the proximity sensor problem is a reality it is a hardware problem without solution yet, but in my case appeared about two times in 4 days and is not a strong problem, someone posted this app that may be a solution, but I haven't tried. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ml.proximitysensorfix
          In any case I'm not updating yet, I've come from a redmi 4x and I updated it only twice, once everything was working ok I disabled updating and it's still working like a charm.
          It's so sad that once the spanish ceo left xiaomi the quality of their phones are not the same, too many models with different configurations and the same UI is just a big mess. I don't think they planned this to get money, their revenue come from the commercialization of the data of the users where they get the real business, so be careful with permissions and intall Orbot app and data blockers/managers as blokada app.

            I bought Xiaomi Redmi Note10 Pro on September 2021.
            When I switch on Speaker, people on other end hardly hear anything other than sound like metal scraping.
            Firmware update was useless in this case. Seems this is common issue with the model.
            DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP!

              My last report..
              Finally now, my phone successfully reach at 71 hours and 54 minutes of battery usage with a SINGLE charging (100%). All HW peripheral such as finger print sensor, screens, touch, comms functions 4G voice calls, WiFi, BT, apps were running smoothly with no issue at all.

              The only minor issues for me is the factory-designed emulated proximity sensors that feel some uncomfortable.. BUT it is acceptable and FAR away BETTER those 12.5.0 - 12.5.8 which NOTHING fixed but made that issues worsen!

              This is should be extra longer if I was not having 15 minutes Webex apps meeting today!

              Who ever using the Webex, will know how much 'heavy' this apps, will eat your battery power and sometimes heat up the phone.

              My CONCLUSION - Redmi Note 10 Pro is build by a VERY GOOD HARDWARE configuration. From the battery until the cellular, WiFi modules, screens or even the vibrating motor were packaged well integrated.

              BUT when it runs by MIUI ROMs, all these benefits was demolished gradually by their SERIES of JUNK UPDATES!
              My opinion this is a part of Xiaomi marketing strategy (plan of obsolescence) and they know very well all these FABRICATED issues!

              ONLY people not aware of phone behaviors, company plan & who trust them so much will blindly keep UPDATING and AWAITING their 'UPDATES" with very high HOPE that they will fix 'these' issues.. NO they DON'T! hahaha trust me..

              After hardly FLASH the ROM, for weeks now I can use this phone happily with its MIUI 12.0.1 RKFMIXM.

              ABSOLUTELY proven the best version for my daily use! NO MIUI UPDATES ALLOWED TO MY PHONE ANYMORE!

              I will just looking selectively the updates for the System apps ONLY. No automatic download or installation were allowed. I will choose them not Xiaomi virtual staff!
              For example, ghe Cleaner apps got bugs in previous version (stuck at "obsolete files" cleaning), then it fixed after next update. So that's all we need to do.

              I did same prevention way to my Mi 4X phone until Xiaomi had stopped the SW support, and this phone today ALIVE like charm and happily without any stress to the battery or other sub-components.

              I hope my reviews and the result will HELP most of the Xiaomi phones over here.

                Regardless of anyone's opinions this phone and so many other Chinese phones are better value for money than the current crop of crap iPhones. The whole iPhone ethos is done, locked into their infrastructure, useless so called instore genius's. Hate everything about it. So bought my wife one of these and threw her iPhone 11 in bin, and she so much happier with this.

                    I got black screen when calling , Proximity sensor is not working for all the mobile phone Xiaomi , Will sale my Redmi Note 10 pro for sure , on speaker also the mic is not work well .
                    So i would say when call and put your hand in front of cam sensor , black screen and hard to switch off your call most of the time , if you want to buy do the proximity test that is build in de mobile *# *#6486# *# *

                      haha.. my hypothesis 101% correct...
                      don't EVER et your RN10P updated the MIUI version to 12.5 .X - 12.5.8!

                      I am proudly reporting.. my RN10P phone now has running 57 hour 10 minutes with a SINGLE full charge..and now it still has 29% in the tank.. ( the system meter said, expected another 12 hours 37 minutes way to go)

                      SEE how this actually something fishy. why we must lost so much battery power& energy and turn into sluggish phone after MIUI updates?? but while keeping the older version (with all up to-date system apps softwares and security) the phone works like charms.. maybe did not seecertain un important cosmetics!

                      I had told in this forum.. updating MIUI is likely to put your phone in the grave less than 2 years..

                      the ANTIROLL BACK sub-programs were inserted in each of released MIUI updates package is clearly to AVOID normal users whose were stucked and frustrated with updates performance.. can't simply attempting to REVERT back their MIUIto previous version... if they wanted to..need to go hardly another way round.

                      and users will put hopes to solve those bugs..by eagerly keep updating the phones version by version releases.. but nothing solved actually.. except some 'cosmetics' cover up..until it end up the process by making our phone turn into very 'old', sluggish, under power and useless within short years.. EOL!?

                      To ROLLBACK to the MIUI best previous version is prohibited by MIUI system.. to do it manually is something messy, must have strong SW technical knowledge and somehow missing the stepe may brick the phone as well..hence warranty void!

                      (normally they will use this 'BEST' version for lauching new models & marketing purposes.. so their allies who did the hands-on REVIEWS over the world will give thumbs up 5 star rating to this new phone. .."this very good blaa..blaa.. smooth.. good battery..bla..blaa...camera nice..bla bla.." so that will influence potential buyers to purchase their phones via their crowd 'flash sale' style.)

                      When user attemp to clean up the phone ROM and re-FLASH it using stocked previous versions MIUI/ custom ROMs, the Mi-Unlock & FLASH Tools will again trying to block your desire by hold up the UNLOCK process for another 168 hours (7days). these process was fully controlled by Mi cloud account associated with your phone properties. We can't FLASH the ROM without passing this crucial step. At this part, the user will felt fed-up and decided to keep away from continue this messy process.

                      Xiaomi thought.. perhaps on such way.. expected people will keep buying their phones after executing part of "PLAN OF OBSOLECENCE" via 'attractive' MIUI UPDATES...and that were faster than expected or did by other Chinese phone brands..

                      my humble advice.. if anyone want to buy Xiaomi phones..please bare in mind.. all these issues.. unless you DARE enough to let your phone getting OLDER faster than usual.. OR you would keep stay in original UI version..ignoring their 'gloomy' updates, until they stop supporting the model OR... be ready to roll out with CUSTOM ROM.. then you will get peace of mind in long period.. for such good hardware phone.

                      this is why they can sell a bit 'lower' prices than their competitors.. by executing this marketing model..literally.

                      Xiaomi ABSOLUTELY will not sell something that not gain profits.. their price taga are just a part of their 'cheap' strategy..you need to embrace 'extra cost' later.

                              when was the last update you received guys ? mine was like over 4 months ago and was 12.5.4 (global version).
                              and i searched online and i found that they released 12.5.8 like a week ago and still haven't gotten it even after changing region to many other countries.

Redmi Note 10 Pro deserves all the hype for the sheer price to performance it has. This thing has the same price as a Samsung A32 while offering A52 level of performance lol. Dont judge a phone just because you encountered a bug. If you dont like the buggy MIUI, the Snapdragon processor in this phone allows you to use CUSTOM ROMS. Use that instead and you will still keep 95% of the features you payed for lol.

                                      I've been using this phone for about good six months, the camera is good, the battery is good and so far I haven't have any major issues with this. Apart from only disappointment when I found out that it has emulated proximity sensor.

                                        I don't understand all of the hype about this phone. AOD which works only for 10secods is a NONSENSE on amoled screen, period. They force us and we cannot change this.
