I am using the 10s, and I can tell you the selfie is below average. My purpose for getting the 10s, tho, is solely for its compactness and performance. So if camera is your thing, Redmi Note 10s might not be the right option.

For just a few more money 10 Pro is better with SD732G, 120hz amoled panel vs 60hz on 10s, 108mp main cam vs 64mp on 10s, slightly bigger than 10s, everything else the same.
Performance wise, both are same same & if your a gamer 10s is slightly better since it has better gpu than 10 Pro.

I want to upgrade to the 10s from note 9s. The note 11 has such a disappointing processor that can't even 4k. Anyway, how is the selfie camera? Is it worth getting the 10 pro over this one?

ISSUES
1. Screen only rotates 90, -90, not 180
2. It doesn't come with earphone in package
3. Fingerprint is in lock button so hard to hold phone without switching off
4. Contacts app is bad. When you copy number to clipboard it doesn't automatically show. Also new contact doesn't automatically show

Just bought it yesterday, don't have problems yet except one.
When I play videos they look weird, especially on YouTube. 1080p 60fps doesn't look like they did compared to my previous phone (Redmi Note 4s). Kinda disappointed really because I watch videos a lot.
Does anyone have this problem too?

If you read that and are able to understand it then you will know why some models in some regions get updates faster than other models and regions.
For example, Redmi Note 10S even has a different ROM in each region the global ROM has been updated to V12.5.15.0 while India got V12.5.12.0 and Taiwan V12.5.5.0

Is this abandon... moreMost beta build are not available for consumers because sometimes the beta build has bugs that can cause problems to the phone and it will be very inconvenient if Xiaomi has to rush to provide fixes because of the stupidity of the user who tried the beta build.
That's why beta build are usually only available to testers who work for them, but if you can't be patient and keep whining about updates then you should sell your Xiaomi phone and buy a Google Pixel, Nokia or flagship phone.

Xiaomi provides security updates for Redmi Note 10S every 3 months and it's also scheduled to get Android 12 but Xiaomi does not give an exact date.
Xiaomi Redmi note 10s was announced in March 2021 and Xiaomi will continue to provide security updates until March 2024.
So for Redmi Note 10S users there is no need to keep whining about updates because even if the OS updates don't come as fast as Google phones or some other brands, the phone you are using is still very safe to use until March 2024.
