Just downloaded and installed MIUI v.13.0.4.0(SKTEUXM) in the UK which includes the Security Patch 01 Aug 2022. Anyone who complains about a lack of updates should think again.

I would respectfully ask the designers, the developers, why is it necessary to design and produce devices with ever larger displays? Mobile phones used to be called pocket phones, that's what they were used for. Today, you can't get a pair of trousers that you can put an unhandled pinpong racket in the pocket of, an earlier tablet. And they're all called mobile phones. Why can't the size of the displays be brought back down to an acceptable 6" with the device? A lot of my acquaintances, friends and colleagues buy these big gizmos just because there is nothing else on the market, even though there is a demand for them. I would buy this device if it wasn't so big, because the knowledge is very good, the design is very nice, ugly big cupboard....
This is something to think about, work on.........

In Australia just bought this Redmi note 11 pro+ 5g global version and it's a great phone! Redmi note 11 pro tempered glass fits but does anyone know where I can buy cases specifically for this phone? Have tried AliExpress and eBay but cannot find for the pro PLUS 5g! The cases are all for 11 pro 5g and the camera bump doesn't fit. Even cut out it doesn't align properly. The only case I got that fits is the one that came in the box. Even tried looking for Xiaomi 11i/hypercharge cases but only find for mi 11i which is different again. Can anyone help or have any suggestions?
      Thanks

I'm still wondering about system update. Everything works fine after updated to MIUI 13? 🤔🤔🤔

Oh, yes, the phone with all the goodies: 3.5 mm jack, microsd slot, not dedicated one, but fine, it will be enough for a quick backup or data transfer, fm radio, side-mountet fingerprint sensor and even an IR blaster. Sure, it does lacks an OIS, AF on ultrawide cam, it has a pretty decent, but still a mediatek SoC (so device won't have any custom roms, even when official support for this device ends) but still - one of the best offers for a reasonable price!

Halgur, 05 Aug 2022Xiaomi phones have strong build quality, they minimum three... morePartially agreed. You can use it forever if they could support the spare parts (especially, the display) for all eternity. But I still mad at them for not making the display last for very long time. Repairing the display isn't that much hard. But sometimes, it becomes troublesome. So, if they could make the display last for a long time, or in the other words, if the display wouldn't damage in a short time, Xiaomi would be the best phone ever produced.

P.S. And yes, it is better than Samsung or Apple's low budget/midrange mobile devices like you said.

Tu Tu, 01 Aug 2022Hi everyone, note 11 pro 5 g can use google apps at rom chi... moreXiaomi comes with two versions. Global and China versions. Google related services are available only on global version. China version doesn't have Google related services but it has better specifications like more memory and etc. But you can change China ROM to Global ROM as much as I've heard. So, if you can't find Global ROM in your country, buy China version and change it to Global ROM. The term here is flash to Global ROM, I guess. (Sorry that I don't know the terms as I'm not a technician.)

Munjeviti, 31 Jul 2022So i am looking for a good phone for next 2 years, can anyo... moreBasically and sadly, Xiaomi mobiles are good for short term use only. The biggest weakness of Xiaomi mobiles is the display. I have experience with two Xiaomi mobiles in the past. One is Xiaomi Mi Max which I used previously. And the other one Xiaomi Redmi 3X which my mother is using now. Both mobiles' display damaged after every 2 years. Only display. The other parts are good. If you want to use Xiaomi mobiles for more than two years, you always have to repair the display. But don't you worry that much. (I don't know about other countries, but in the country I'm currently living in, Myanmar) I could change it at reasonable and affordable price unlike Samsung. So, I guess you could too. Although my Xiaomi Mi Max phone has changed display twice, it's still working now. If I want to use it for 1 and half year, I can still use it. But I gave it to my aunt and I bought this Note 11 pro plus because I wanted to change mobile. Now, she's using Mi Max and it's completely functional.

As I've said previously, I still bought Xiaomi mobiles even though I know I have to change the display after 2 years. The display change is not that much troublesome and the repair cost is affordable. I have used Samsung mobiles too. Once Samsung mobile's display is damaged, you can change it at half price of new Samsung mobile phone. So, most people including me chose to buy a new mobile rather than repair it. But with Xiaomi, you don't need to buy a new one if you don't want to. You can repair at reasonable and affordable price. This is what made me choose Xiaomi mobiles.

As for my thought on this mobile, you can search and read my review on this page.

I hope my reply is somehow helpful for your decision.

P.S. I'm not advertising. I just said my experience.
