You are not right, Audiospore. Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 is a really good and really strong processor. This phone might be the strongest in it's price class!

First of all... the Redmi Note series used to have an ultrawide 8MP camera and the SD card slot. Second, they used to pack Snapdragons 6xx or equivalent. The Redmi Note 12 is packing the new 4Gen1 or so, which is supposed to be an entry level chip. I could overlook this if the new 4Gen1 is similarly performant but more efficient than the Snapdragon 66x family.
But all in all, it looks like a Redmi, which are fully entry level, not a Redmi Note, which has a few extra mid-ranger features.

KrystalKryo, 02 Nov 20224 gen 1 is equivalent to dimensity 810Sd 4 gen 1 is closer to dimensity 900 than 810.
It has cortex A78 manufactured in 6nm which are more efficient and give more power compare to A76 inside 810.

from the 10th gen to 12th gen, it still uses side fingerprint. I mean, the phone has a capable AMOLED Display, why not using in-display fingerprint?

For me, Memory Slot and Comms (NFC and Radio) is more important than CPU speed or Camera or Refresh Rate.
