The last time they tried was F2 and F1. After that, I believe they get a memo not to compete with Xiaomi family.

Remember the CEO of redmi already official announce redmi Gaming is dead same goes for the GT series...
IMO is gonna be:
Redmi note 12 turbo = Poco F5 =7+ Gen 2
Redmi K60 = Poco F5 Pro = 8+ Gen 1

A. that chip's expensive at least for now
C. Xiaomi would then cannibalize their Xiaomi 13 sales

Best , 04 Apr 2023This will come as Poco x5gt not f5Doubt it, if 7+ gen 2 is anywhere near 8+ gen 1's performance as the initial leaks say, Poco would just cannibalize their F5 sales if it launches with the latter chip.
Because why would you buy the F5 if X5 GT has 90% of the F5's SoC's performance? I would even say that this would still give people second thoughts even if it's "just" 80-85%.
My guess is, like the others say, rename this into F5, and then they would release another Redmi with SD 870 phone and rename it to an X5-whatever-name-after phone.
