Xiaomi Redmi Note 12R Pro is coming on April 29, design and key specs revealed

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has announced it will add a new member to the Redmi Note 12 series on April 29, dubbed Redmi Note 12R Pro.

The company also shared a poster revealing the Redmi Note 12R Pro's design and color options. The image shows us the smartphone's rear side, sporting a rectangular camera island housing two cameras and an LED flash. The primary camera uses a 48MP sensor, but we are yet to get a confirmation on what the secondary camera does. It could be a macro unit or a depth sensor, though.

The right-side frame of the Redmi Note 12R Pro has a volume rocker and a power button, with the latter likely doubling up as a fingerprint scanner despite the smartphone packing a Samsung-made OLED screen since no other smartphone in the Redmi Note 12 lineup uses an in-display fingerprint reader.

The Redmi Note 12R Pro will come with 5G connectivity and have 12GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard, but there could be more memory options that are yet to be confirmed.

The Redmi Note 12R Pro will go on sale in China on April 29, starting at 10AM local time, which is when we'll know all about its specs, features, and pricing.
