Anonymous, 29 Dec 2024But he's not talking about Bluetooth earbuds, he'... moreHow it is not possible to process high res sound from chipset of a smartphone that can process high complex calculation in it compared to tiny certain sound enhancement chip like DAC? What appear in my mind is this could be the software contribution in a smartphone to make limitation for the sound it generated. I would appreciate if you would enlighten me more with this subject. I may be wrong with my analytic for what have been described above.

asd, 27 Dec 2024you have no idea what youre talking about, corded headphone... moreWhat type of corded headphone you are using and from what brand it is? For me corded and bluetooth are just fine once they can produce clear sound and deep bass.

asd, 27 Dec 2024you have no idea what youre talking about, corded headphone... moreBut he's not talking about Bluetooth earbuds, he's talking about how a true audiophile would not care if a phone has 3.5mm jack or not since he would be using an external USB DAC anyway. And that's correct since except for very few smartphones in the past (particularly from LG) most of them have mediocre internal DACs. Just having the 3.5mm jack isn't enough.
I've had several motorola, Redmi and Samsung phones with the 3.5mm jack and none of them can match the audio quality of a basic $10 USB-C to 3.5mm apple dongle, that has an impressive DAC for its size and pricing.

Anonymous, 16 Dec 2024Nobody that actually cares about audio would spend money on... moreyou have no idea what youre talking about, corded headphone are miles ahead of bluetooth ones, i personally always used a 3W corded headset and it was and still is miles ahead of anything wireless.
