These Redmi Note phones have some common problems like outdated processors, too pricey and y'all know, the MoThErBoArD PrObLeM which was sooo annoying in Redmi Note 12 (for me). But their build quality is great

Rolly Ghiz, 15 Dec 2024About this bootloader unlocking stuff, if you unlock it on ... moreNo. Unlocking the phone itself doesn't make it more prone to software invasion and attacks unless you leave it out in the open without pin code where a hacker can easily physically access it.
How do I go about it? Just install the xiaomi software in your PC, apply for unlock, wait a week and then finally unlock it.
Maybe you won't receive OTA updates anymore but this is not a problem. You can easily manually download the latest official ROM directly from Xiaomi servers and then manually flash it to your phone with fastboot.

Stoon, 22 Dec 2024for the same price or less i can get Nord 4 with higher SoC... moreI really like the Nord 4 too but the cameras seem really compromised considering something like the honor 200 pro is about the same price where I am. I don't think processing can compensate for having the same main sensor as something like the nord CE4 lite and other budget devices and the ultrawide is a bog-standard 8mp with no AF And the selfie cam seems to just outright have no stabilization whatsoever. Don't have to be a camera focused phone sure, but at the price point should be at least more serviceable.

UFS 2.2 (!) or 3.1 vs 4.0 nowadays is pretty lame, for a Redmi Note flagship (14 Pro Plus) series.

I was also considering this one since battery life in my Note 13 Pro 5G has been mediocre, but if the release here ends up being like it appears to be, I'm dropping any intent to get this phone and never looking back.
