So has anyone else noticed they removed the vegan leather finish on the back that was on the otherwise identical looking Indian Redmi Note 14 Pro+?
What does Xiaomi have against vegan leather? They did this to the global Note 13 Pro+ too, in China and India the multicolor version (Fusion Purple) was vegan leather, but Aurora Purple on the global variant is glass.

Tried the phone...advertisments everywhere in OS. I read you can disable it, but still...not for me.

And removing a 50MP Telephoto just to put that VERY USEFUL 2MP Macro is a GREAT GREAT GREAT move and the best part is they downgraded the SiC 6,200mAh battery to 5,110. Yesssss you are definitely right. This phone is a GREAT PHONE!

It's not worth it at all , here the price difference between this and s24 fe is less than $30 for 256gb , s24 fe is wayyy better option than this piece of shit

Its a great phone but it was better with aluminium frame and ufs3 and 50MP camera and 60W charger. very fast chargers kill the battery and after a year phone will be useless,in other way we have a original charger in xiaomi unlike samsung and risk of fake chargers is decreased

This phone is not worth it at 500€ you can get so much more, I guess Xiaomi is in the same rut with the Note 14+ series that Samsung got into with the A52S.
The model is just too good and hurts sales of the higher end models so for a couple of generations they need to stagnate them.

If you have the Redmi note 13 pro+, this is basically the same phone with a different processor. I don't know what we did to china.

a regression on all levels, small battery compared to the Chinese model, no telephoto lens, an uninteresting ultra wide angle and a crappy macro sensor, Xiaomi takes the rest of the world for idiots

From my opinion, its a crap, not worth it. Similar specs are cheaper at Poco series. Chinese version has optic zoom and bigger battery. Chinese version is the cheapest phone with optic zoom and that's what I look for. I was waiting for buying in EU for warranty purposes but now it's not possible. I'll buy a S23 plus, after the galaxy S25 announcement.
