No point in complaining because Xiaomi aren't bringing them back for future Redmi Note Pro phones, and no need to cry about "the masses" because each to their own. Not everyone needs headphone jacks and card slots.

Also, this is a $200 phone, you can't expect UFS 3.1+ and USB 3.0.

LxSFurry, 05 Oct 2024the 14 Pro+ will likely not have a Headphone jack just like... moreYes, that's my point, when even the "14 Pro" version won't have it and it will have curved screen (And downgraded camera), there's no point in buying it. Either you don't consider the 14 series or you go for the + version.

The other day, my son came to me with a pair of wired KZ zsn Pro X (stage) in ear wired earphones... My god, what a difference. I almost forgot how good music sounds.
I guess the point is, you'll never get the sound palette on wireless headphones like the one you get on wired headphones. Therefore the headphone jack is essential.

But since I need the jack and hate the curved screen, i'm just gonna stick to Note 13 pro.

Well, this phone seems to be downgrade of last year Note Pro. It has slower charging speed, lower camera resolution and much smaller camera sensor. I don't think the Note 13 Pro's users will upgrade their devices to this!

If your earbuds are running low on battery, y... moreSome of us don't want to be dependent of charging wireless earbuds, also some of us really don't like audio latency, the only way to reduce it is using a receiver and transmitter devices with Aptx adaptative/LL codec support and those TWS that have it they don't cost $17 USD as someone said.

When I'm outside yes, just in case I carry a pair of TWS for maybe listening to music but since I don't really consume media (video) on the go latency is not a concern, but when I'm indoors I consume a lot of video, after almost 4 years I'm still rocking a pair of $6 USD wired panasonic earbuds connected in my laptop or phone with unbeatable quality for the price and not worrying of running out of battery is a bless.

And lastly, using the usb c port either for connecting and disconnecting a dongle or earbuds with usb c plug over time it will only shorten their life span of the only port, once it's damaged it will be useless.

If your earbuds are running low on battery, you just put them back to their case until they're charged again. And if your case is running low on batteries, just charge it the same way you charge your phone, simple as that.

Also, ANC is toggle-able. You don't have to use it if you don't want to.

Total madness, i'd go insane if i have to go through all that hassle for a simple "task" that shouldn't require any batteries.

Sure, ANC can be beneficial, but Is also dangerous. I prefer to know what's happening around me while also enjoying my music.

PetrovBG, 03 Oct 2024USB dongles drain battery like crazy and wireless headphone... moreI can tolerate this because I don't like to wear headphones for several hours every day.

I own a cheap pair of wireless earbuds that cost less than €17, it comes with ANC which helps reduce background noise for loud environments, a very useful feature that wired headphones lack. It also sounds better and is way more portable than any of my wired earbuds, which I totally hate having to painstakingly scramble through because of the wires. The batteries can last up to 40 hours with the charging case on, so it's not like I have to charge them every day.

Yes, I admit wired headphones still have their benefits, such as not having to worry about battery life, better sound quality, better durability, etc. But after using wireless earbuds, I'm never going back to wired.
