Besides the main camera, it does look like the Poco M6 Pro 4G (2024) with the same G99 Ultra 8/256GB (UFS 2.2) and 12/512GB configuration. But the Redmi 14S doesn't have a 12/512GB version, as alternative.
It does look like another version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 4G from 2024 - only difference here is the 200 MP vs 108 MP before main camera, and subtle reworked backside. Frame plastic, backcover plastic - at least the old Note 14 4G feat. an Aluminum frame, it's now plasticky - so a minus point in build quality. The old 108 MP Samsung snapper as main camera Sensor was good enough for the price class; the Note 14 4G.
This "new" Redmi Note 14S seems almost a year later, into 2025 way over the top - in terms of asking price.

Are we still at 1080p video? The Redmi note 8 base model could do 4k, even note 7 pro. They have regressed. There is something wrong with redmis 1080p video, there is some kind of oversharpening around objects edges that do not appear with 720p and 4k.

But it's not very useful since the camera does 16:1 binning for most pics. The very limited use case for it is the full 200mp mode but it's not worth the file size for barely any improvement

They’re literally rebranding a one year old phone that they still sell in one of the two countries that this new phone is for, plus they had to spend money designing the new camera bump. The only way that Xiaomi could make a profit from this is by using this rebrand to sell as many of these cheap phones as possible so they can harvest and sell more people’s data
