I bought this online last week. I was a little shocked when the selfie I took was like a mirror image. So unlike the smartphone I was using earlier this phone doesn't flip the photos. Is that true for everyone or is it an issue with my handset only

Ohk i read a lot of people complaining about battery drain here's what u need to do guys go to mobile network settings go to preferred network select 3g or 2g if u don't have 4g lte in ur area bcoz the default is set for 4g it keeps searching for the connectivity and takes a lot of juice and i am not kidding about it, it seriously drains a lot of juice. this method also helps in 3g networks if u know that in ur house u have a bad 3g reception simply choose 2g u will find ur battery performance improving by 20% for sure and then keep switching the network according to ur need ur battery will b just fine than. the battery has been affected after the v6 update i did use to manage 1 and half day easily from this device but now it lasts for 26,27 hours which is not bad but yes it has come down a bit but i consider myself a heavy user, plus guys if possible maintain a cycle for charging the phone it helps a lot if possible only plugin the device when it says to do so or below 15% juice and avoid over charging it helps a lot in keeping the battery health good for a long period of time.
some guy i read below was complaining about optical image stabilization not being present in this phone (ahahahahahahhahahahahaahhahahahahahahahahahah hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahah)
dude people pay 50 grand for i phone 6 and they aint got that sh** man u have some opinion the camera works just fine not good for indoor conditions but if u have a steady hand u will find satisfaction.
i will like to add that i been using this phone for over a month now and i didn't find any issues or at least my unit seems to work perfect. people who get issues shud get thr handset replaced asap bcoz it varies form devices to devices so hold on tight bcoz u might find some issues with ur phone but its a very rare scenario.
lastly i wud like to inform u all that apps cud b moved to sd card it is possible its a bit tricky but its definitely do-able u need find videos on youtube that explains how to do it i tried my luck and it works fine u cud move ur big games to sd card but guys the trick doesn't make ur sd card ur default memory so every time u want to move a app u have select its obb file and cut paste it manually,so good luck with that.
finally about the lollipop update
there is no lollipop update for any of the mi devices not the high end devices either so wait patiently bcoz mi has promised to give us a lollipop build v7 in near future they don't push updates easily and as u know this is major reincarnation for miui the platform is diff so wait u will find ur update in sept or dec for sure. i am going to the mi global launch in Delhi on 23rd whr i have heard rumors that we will see the android build but that's just a rumor lets see.
regarding heating issue people this phone is stubborn as a mountain it wont heat up no matter what i do to it i played subway surfer and nfs for 2 hrs straight it never exceeded 37 degrees which is awesome. so if u have heating issue u need to look for a replacement straightaway.
finally buy this phone if u want to this phone doesn't promise any miracles but what it offers is a companion for life it will not do any extraordinary stuff but it will do every thing u ask of it or at least it will try.

1. Doesn't require data connection for navigation
2. Have good gps catching capacity ( currently using mediatek processor which doesn't catch gps)
2. Is Qualcomm processor better than Mediatek or Intel processor fo gps?

oh yeah, the battery will drain faster, because you are indeed using it! its a quad core 4G performance nuke tank, and it should drain battery fast, so that it outruns almost all its competitors i've rigged with so far till april 18 2015. word. go get this tank if you're a gamer, photographer, net addict, eh, the mobile dude you are, if... i used a lg 3d max, but i'm gonna swap it to my dad's redmi note 1 today, because thats what i always wanted, performance for the money paid... :) oh yeah \m/
