Using this phone for almost 6 years.Its a great phone made by Xiaomi.Sound quality over Headphone is simply amazing,Display of the phone is still awesome.One of the best phone I purchased.It reminds me the good old days of Nokia phones.

Although all the problems you mentioned are valid, none of them makes sense for a 2018 mid range device now. For 2018 standards, this was amazing. After using with a PE A12 rom, this is smooth as ever. Should I be complaining about the lack of 5G, or dual camera or what not on this device? Absolutely not.

Not my daily device. But recently gave it a fresh pixel experience rom and working amazingly. Even shocked at the GCam outputs. Slap it an amoled screen and nobody would've noticed it was a 2018 phone.

still using it thinking to upgrade while it lasted long enough replaced it's battery because i lost it's original charger and sort of went like that but yea it did help lot !

used this for 1 year then the touchscreen went haywire, registering ghost taps, became unusable. was good while it lasted and looks good too.

Using this for over five years now. It doesn't get any cell service anymore and It lags much now. It's good while it lasted.

I think the comms section needs to be updated. Was pleasantly surprised to learn that i was able to connect this thing to a 5ghz drone, which means it seems to also have dual-band wifi(802.11ac)

After using this phone for 5 years I just remembered to ask a very important question in my opinion. Why is the audio produced from these two speakers only one that works or even produces audio? More precisely, only the right speaker works, the speaker on the left does not produce audio at all.

The 5 Pro model is much better than this one although the 5 Pro does have some limits when it comes to gaming.

After 5 years of using this device it started to slow down. But, there is one thing that has always been slow about this device, which is that the charger is only 10w instead of 20w. It takes 2 hours 20 minutes to fully charge.

I think this phone is not durability drop no gorilla glass mentioned but its a best features specs I'm using right now and it's refurbished second hand old phone I searching find on others stores sales refurbished and thru online (amazon,ebay,lazada,shopee,alibaba, AliExpress, Flipkart ,etc) and the sound speaker itself it's clear and loud, clear bass, smooth sound very accurated and very good using by other formats mp3 128 low good 320kbps better,acc very good,FLAC is most impressivea and WAV is fidelity Clearly, good Crisp sound quality I ever made by my test repeated thru free download and sound test by other streaming sites free visiting test apple music spotify quboz etc, but I don't have buy expensive overpriced amplifier speakers, and headphones/earphones but preparing for your silence solo using headphones/earphones, this phone is a STEAL says gsmarena on youtube, best mid-range phone than the idea to buy oppo a5 and a12 budget entry phone is a goodphone and low antutu score performances the redmi5plus is likely high-end specs m but it's not, a mid-range budget phone, my phone is crack glass after changing a new glass screen then cracks, it's still working

I've been using this device for 5 years and to be honest it's not worth it but I have no choice to just buy it rather than to not have a phone. One of the reasons why this device is not worth it at all is that it uses a chipset from the previous generation smartphone which it came out in 2016. It's better to be powered by Snapdragon 675 even if you have to wait until October 2018 instead of using a chipset that is almost 2 years old at that time. And the battery capacity should be increased to 5000mAh compared to the same 4000mAh as the generation of Redmi Note before that. As for the camera, it's fine. It's just that this device is not equipped with dual camera lenses like the Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Note 5 Ai Dual Camera. What's the point of the name of this device Redmi 5 Plus if there's nothing plus about it?
