really depends on the price, if this is price at 100 USD then it's kinda okay i guess, but if you have a bit more to chew a redmi pad will be better with better chipset, ufs, and etc.

Lucas, 27 Aug 2023SD680 is weaker than G99 from the Redmi Pad 1 I think It is, and a lot worse, G99 is faster than SD685 too

Sadly, it's impossible outside of China - you have to pay import fees and value added tax in EU. And then distributors and importers and retailers also want to have some profit, so the price is easily doubled.

I assume that the tablet has no GPS sensor. Am I right?

Hello, does the tablet support the aptx bluetooth codec?
I would like to use it as a home music player with speakers that support aptX.
                        Thanks.

Also just noticed that literally every single app (except the default Xiaomi apps) runs at 60hz regardless of the setting used. Updated MIUI to 14.0.2, the issue persists. Big shame since this essentially makes it a 60hz tablet until it gets fixed. Definitely returning it now.

I was eyeing the Redmi Pad for a while but after a few weeks I decided not to get it. Then this got released without my knowledge and when I checked the price I got excited. It's currently on sale for 169€ in my country and since it's a pretty low price I decided to pull the trigger despite all the drawbacks.

The screen is okay. Honestly, just okay. It's not particularly sharp and colors are again, just okay. The build quality is quite nice. Aluminum back and sides. Power button has a nice response but volume buttons are super wobbly which I dislike. Battery life is good, I don't even check the percentage since I only had to charge it after 3 days. Speakers are again, just okay. They sound good enough to use them regularly but they don't have a nice sound or anything. Not gonna say anything about camera because I had no need to use it.

The performance is horrible. When I first booted it up, it felt snappy. Then I installed a few apps and it went out the window. I don't mind if apps take a bit to load, or that you can't really game on this tablet. What bothers me is the fact that even if there's just browser running, it lags. When you scroll down a page it will go for half a second and then just stop. Kinda gross. Reminds me of phones from 2013. Multitasking is not a possibility. Once you have a few apps opened and open another one, then try to go back to any of the previous ones, it has to reload.

This is not a bad tablet by any means. I actually kinda enjoy it but due to the performance will be most likely returning it. Overall, I'd rate it a 6 out of 10. Not good, not bad. Just okay but for the price it's hard not to recommend it despite its many drawbacks.

I can give you deem examples from not so long ago with the Poco F5 release and it's prices.
This site news show 429 euro price for F5 8/256GB and had a news for it's prices for Europe while in my local shops the prices started for 439 euro and i got my phone for 410 euro cause one shop probably hade a typo on price cause it was like 2-3 days before they fix it but on that time i got my phone still on that lower price.

So you can have a shop that sell you this for 200 or 250 euro and you can not say i am wrong as there is no specification on the ram and storage that each c ost different
