I just bought this tab with a 8GB RAM variant. What I liked most are the sound and the display quality. What I didn't like is the touch smoothness, it's slightly jittery to scroll and other touch movements. I think it's a MIUI issue. Also the camera is not good. Overall hardware build quality is very good though. With a bluetooth mouse/keyboard, it could be an amazing device to carry in your vacation, specially if want to remote login to your office desktop and work from there. I think it's worth the purchase.

bloatware, 26 Jan 2024Is it very bad for book reading? I don't have this tablet but I can imagine it because I have used a lot of tablets in the past and I read a lot. So, if you want to read books or watch movies and you can afford a lot of money, then go for higher ppi (such as 274 ppi). If you can't afford it, then buy the one that has at least 224 ppi because if it's below 224 ppi, you can't look at the tablet for a long time. It will really hurt your eyes. Currently I have three tablets, Huawei Matepad T10s (224 ppi), Xiaomi Redmi Pad (220 ppi) and Xiaomi Pad 5 (274 ppi). As I've mentioned it already, I read a lot. When I read on Huawei Matepad T10s and Xiaomi Pad 5, I don't feel anything like my eyes tired and want to sleep because of that. But when I read on Xiaomi Redmi Pad, I can't read for a long time. I always feel my eyes are tired and always fall asleep. I think this happened because of the tablet's ppi. Low ppi hurts my eyes and my eyes are tired which leads to sleepy. The best tablet for reading, for me, is Xiaomi Pad 5. (One problem with it though. It's a bit heavy. So, I couldn't read for a long time with it. But this is another story. Right now, we'll just focus on ppi, shall we?) Hence, my thought on your question is that yeah, tablets with lower than 224 ppi are not good for reading.

Helio G99 in the Redmi Pad has Cortex-A76 cores which are significantly faster than A73. In fact, A76 theoretical performance is twice as fast as A73, so a 33% higher AnTuTu score isn't much.

I just bought this and I'm a bit confused about the Antutu score being so much better for the Redmi Pad than the SE. (like 33 per cent better?)
Can't figure out why from looking at the specs. Seems like the difference in chips should be negligible.
Does it have more bloatware or is it a hardware issue?
(I bought the 8g ram version so hopefully it won't be as bad).
