Xiaomi to launch a global Mi phone in India on April 23

Chinese startup Xiaomi just celebrated its fifth birthday by offering great deals and availability of its products to more than one commerce platform in India. Now the company’s official Twitter account has shared an invite for a probable new smartphone launch on April 23 in New Delhi, India.

Official Xiaomi website for India states a simple message - i is coming. Global Mi phone premiere in New Delhi. The thing to be noted is the Global Mi phone aspect since the company’s founder and CEO Lei Jun, Co-founder Bin Lin and global VP, Hugo Barra will be present at the event.

It is unclear which smartphone can be expected to be launched but this does affirm the company’s claim about India being a major market.
