Xiaomi unveils 27" 165Hz gaming monitor, Wi-Fi 6 router, a new scooter and an air fryer
Xiaomi expanded its lineup of “AIoT” products today, a nebulous category that covers everything from Wi-Fi routers to air fryers. Both with smart Internet of Things features, of course.
Note that some of these aren’t new, a few gadgets have been available in China for a while now. But most of them are new to Europe.
Mi 2K Gaming Monitor 27”
This 27” monitor has an IPS panel with 2,560 x 1,440 px resolution (16:9) and 178º viewing angles. It carries the VESA DisplayHDR 400 label, meaning it has a peak brightness of at least 400 nits. It also covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color space. Note that this is an 8-bit panel with 1,000:1 contrast ratio.
What makes this a gaming monitor is the support for refresh rates up to 165 Hz, Adaptive Sync is supported as well. It has a 4 ms response time (gray-to-gray), which can be reduced to 1 ms using the Intelligent Motion Blur Control feature.
The monitor comes with a DisplayPort 1.4 and an HDMI 2.0 for video. There’s also a single USB-A 3.0 port, plus a 3.5 mm jack. In the box you’ll find a base and a stand, plus hardware to mount it to a wall.
The Xiaomi Mi 2K Gaming Monitor 27” will cost €500.
Mi Router AX9000
This is Xiaomi’s first tri-band Wi-Fi 6 router. It has a total of 12 external antennas that cover the 2.4 GHz band (up to 1,148 Mbps of bandwidth) and two 5 GHz bands (4,804 Mbps + 2,402 Mbps), one of which is dedicated to gaming, so that other devices on the network won’t interfere.
The router has a 2.5 Gbps WAN port and four gigabit LAN ports, plus a single USB-A 3.0 port. It is powered by a 14 nm Qualcomm chipset with six Cortex-A53 cores running at 2.2 GHz and two NPU cores at 1.7 GHz. The chipset is hooked up to 1 GB of RAM. A built-in cooling fan ensures consistent performance.
Besides the 12 Wi-Fi antennas, there’s also a dedicated AIoT antenna that allows the router to act as a hub for your Xiaomi-compatible smart home gadgets.
The Xiaomi Mi Router AX9000 can be yours for €300.
By the way, we will publish reviews on the gaming monitor and the AX9000 router in a short while, so check back soon for a detailed look.

A full recharge takes 8.5 hours.
The new model weighs 13 kg (28.6 lbs) and has a maximum load of 100 kg. Xiaomi redesigned the folding mechanism with a 3-step design. The LCD has been been upgraded as well.
Other features include an aerospace-grade aluminum chassis, pneumatic tires, eABS on the front and dual-pad disc brake on the rear, a 2W headlight and two colorways: Onyx Black and Gravity Grey.

The scooter is cool and I like the router. Hope they can make a cheaper dual band version of this spider router with quad core processor.
