Xiaomi unveils 27" 165Hz gaming monitor, Wi-Fi 6 router, a new scooter and an air fryer

Xiaomi expanded its lineup of “AIoT” products today, a nebulous category that covers everything from Wi-Fi routers to air fryers. Both with smart Internet of Things features, of course.

Note that some of these aren’t new, a few gadgets have been available in China for a while now. But most of them are new to Europe.

Mi 2K Gaming Monitor 27”

This 27” monitor has an IPS panel with 2,560 x 1,440 px resolution (16:9) and 178º viewing angles. It carries the VESA DisplayHDR 400 label, meaning it has a peak brightness of at least 400 nits. It also covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color space. Note that this is an 8-bit panel with 1,000:1 contrast ratio.

What makes this a gaming monitor is the support for refresh rates up to 165 Hz, Adaptive Sync is supported as well. It has a 4 ms response time (gray-to-gray), which can be reduced to 1 ms using the Intelligent Motion Blur Control feature.

The monitor comes with a DisplayPort 1.4 and an HDMI 2.0 for video. There’s also a single USB-A 3.0 port, plus a 3.5 mm jack. In the box you’ll find a base and a stand, plus hardware to mount it to a wall.

Mi Router AX9000

This is Xiaomi’s first tri-band Wi-Fi 6 router. It has a total of 12 external antennas that cover the 2.4 GHz band (up to 1,148 Mbps of bandwidth) and two 5 GHz bands (4,804 Mbps + 2,402 Mbps), one of which is dedicated to gaming, so that other devices on the network won’t interfere.

The router has a 2.5 Gbps WAN port and four gigabit LAN ports, plus a single USB-A 3.0 port. It is powered by a 14 nm Qualcomm chipset with six Cortex-A53 cores running at 2.2 GHz and two NPU cores at 1.7 GHz. The chipset is hooked up to 1 GB of RAM. A built-in cooling fan ensures consistent performance.

Besides the 12 Wi-Fi antennas, there’s also a dedicated AIoT antenna that allows the router to act as a hub for your Xiaomi-compatible smart home gadgets.

Redmi Buds 3 Pro

The Redmi Buds 3 Pro were announced last week, a global version of the Air Dots 3 Pro. These TWS buds feature ANC (up to 35 dB), Bluetooth 5.2 with multipoint support (connecting to two devices simultaneously) and 28 hours of total battery life.

The Buds 3 Pro will cost €70 in Europe.

Mi Electric Scooter 3

This model has 275 Wh battery for up 30 km range (18.6 miles). The electric motor can operate at 300W continuously with peak power hitting 600W. The top speed is limited to 25 km/h to comply with local regulations and it can tackle 16% inclines. Essentially, this is the motor from the Pro 2 and the battery of the 1S scooters. A full recharge takes 8.5 hours.

The new model weighs 13 kg (28.6 lbs) and has a maximum load of 100 kg. Xiaomi redesigned the folding mechanism with a 3-step design. The LCD has been been upgraded as well.

Other features include an aerospace-grade aluminum chassis, pneumatic tires, eABS on the front and dual-pad disc brake on the rear, a 2W headlight and two colorways: Onyx Black and Gravity Grey.

The Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter 3 will be available for €450.

Mi Smart Air Fryer 3.5L

This smart air fryer can be controlled through the Mi Home app, which will offer more than 100 different recipes to try out. Using the app you can schedule the cooking up to 24 hours in advance and you can use voice commands (Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are supported) to start or pause the cooking process and check the remaining cooking time. You can also use the OLED display on the front to check such info.

The air fryer can fit 3.5L (3.7 quarts) and can cook at temperatures ranging from 40ºC to 200ºC (104ºF-392ºF). Besides air frying, this can also be used for baking, defrosting and even making yogurt.

What is the 15th picture ? It looks like a mini washing machine. And will the air fryer really be good if it dont use oil ? One of the part that fryed food is good is that it's made in oil

The scooter is cool and I like the router. Hope they can make a cheaper dual band version of this spider router with quad core processor.
