I bought the A500S Xolo phone 2 months back and I have had a great experience with this phone. I used to use Samsung S Advance for a year before but unfortunately, I lost that phone.
This phone has everything that you would need with all the basics. An amazing phone for the price you shell out!! I am satisfied from all aspects. I will share my experience with this phone below - based on a use of 2 months - till date:
There are a lot of PROs to add for - for this phone:
1. Battery Life: The battery life is great for such a phone (as compared to the Samsung I had earlier)! With my limited usage, it lasts 2 full days... (Yes! 2 days!!) as compared to Samsung which lasted probably a day at most.
2. Touch Experience: The touch screen is pretty good but it "sometimes" takes like a split second more to respond to. I have seen this behaviour probably once a week, but it is not a problem at all! In most cases, I saw that I had many applications open and then such a behaviour was more apparent.
3. 3G & Wifi Speed: The 3G speed support is good & I get very good browsing speeds on this phone. I would say the same as... what I used to get on my last Samsung phone. Wifi support is also pretty good. No issues I have seen in my use of last 2 months.
4. Software performance: The best part I have observed is... this phone has never hung up in the last 2 months of use! Although, with Samsung.. hanging up was more frequent.
5. Voice Quality: Voice quality is pretty good & when I play music with xolo earphones, the output is OK. I would not say that it is the best, but I found out that by tweaking the settings of the music player, the output was much more better. I used to get a strange "noise", when I attached my old Samsung headphones. But any other headphones work pretty good with this xolo phone.
6. Camera: This phone has a 5 MP camera. The picture quality is not very great in low lighting, but pretty good for an average camera with normal lighting. I have not used the camera yet for recording a video, but I guess, that should be average at best. My main purpose for buying this phone was not the camera anyways. I played movie videos on the phone & they work perfectly fine with a very good sound output! The only issue I saw with the camera was the flash light. The light is dull and of no use as a flash infact!! I think, it is a waste to even provide this to work with the camera!!
7. Application performance: I have observed a certain lag that comes in certain applications, but then I also learnt that if you have too many apps open in android, the phone processing would definitely slow down. If you have limited apps open on this phone (like 7-8 at most), the performance has never been an issue at all!!
8. Additional points: This phone does not come with an SD card. You will have to buy it for additional memory needs. Moreover, the pre-installed music player has average features & not very user friendly (I am not talking about the output here but the configuration). Moreover, there is no pre-installed app for note-taking, using the flashlight and for typing ease such as swype. You would need to pick up the free apps and install for these functions.
Overall, it is a sleek phone and not very heavy. I saw many reviews stating that this phone is a waste of money. But, probably it looks like that the users may have had a bad piece or probably they had very-very high expectations.
With my experience, this phone can easily beat even some of the branded phones worth 20k!! I would definitely recommend (and has already recommended) to go for this phone. It is worth every penny you put in.

Has anybody tried a 64gb memory card in this phone by the formatting process.. Although it doesn't support 64gb but it is possible in some phones by formatting the memory card

bought this phone 2 months back..so far so good..the best part is its sleek premium look..people misunderstands it as HTC sometimes...looks like an 15k phone..good performance and better build quality than mmx..battery backup average..and the worst part is no service centre in kerala..otherwise its a 5 star product

there was some problem during initial 1 month(the caller at other end was hearing us anfter pauses ??.. ) and after i sent it to the service center . the handset is awesome working over calls
