First check if u have 3g activated.
Then go under
Setings\under wireless & networks-more..\Mobile networks\3g service\network mode
Select WCDMA only.

the phone in general is alright. My problem is that it switches to EDGE when 3G is available. If i use my samsung galaxy s3 it shows 3g coverage Q1000 show GPRS or EDGE coverage? Any obvious setting changes I am missing????

I have bought a Xolo Q1000 a week back and its just awesome...the touch is comparable or better than samsung...music quality is awesome...camera is good but not better than the bigger brands...all in all more than value for money

gadget_freak, 23 Aug 2013i have bought this phone 3 days back..the phone feels aweso... moreevery xolo q1000 is having the same response. This is not an issue, the problem is with the charger its output rate is too low. About 700 mah. Buy one charger with 1000 or above, the problem will be solved.

i have bought this phone 3 days back..the phone feels awesome..but facing a big problem with the charging of battery..it takes toooo long to charge the battery..it takes around 5 hours to charge the battery fully...a normal phone can be charged fully 3 times in this time period... anyone else facing this issue ?
what can be the solution ?

I'm using X1000 its same as samsung galaxy grand 19082
only difference is internal gb & front camera

worst after sales service. Please dont buy any Xolo phone. even after more than 20 days my phone is still in Xolo service center and they are not able to repair the handset. my handset Xolo Q1000 went dead after 4 days of use. if you have any doubt on my comment pls mail me at vineetsaxena2005@gmail.com. I am gonna file consumer court case on xolo for their poor service.
