Manish, 02 Jan 2014I am facing a problem that earlier I could easily move face... moreThere is nothing wrong with the update...just check storage from the settings menu and click the preferred installation to memory card...every thing wool New ok

GUYS ANYBODY NOTICED THE After updating Xolo Q800 To JB 4.2.1 .The sharpness of the screen is way too HIGH. Even While Watching Videos On YOUTUBE the video is PIXELATED not smooth.Even When HQ IS ENABLED In you tube. I tried reinstalling THE youtube APP but still the same problem. Any Solution Guys??

I am facing a problem that earlier I could easily move facebook and other google apps to SD card, now I cant move Google apps and Facebook etc from the phone memory...which I think affecting the overall speed of the phone. Can somebody please help??

I have the old 6589 chip set...the OTA didn't work however the update.zip from Xolo' website worked... Its definitely worth it.
Pros:
1. Refreshing UI. White background for menu and settings. Improves visibility outdoors.
2. Dialer and contacts are really good. With native video calling unlike many custom ROM.
3. Better usability. Smooth interface. Better touch response and battery life.
4. Above all...a whole new camera UI with additional features (panorama etc). And q800's worst bug...the dark/black image with 3rd party camera apps is finally gone...
Cons:
1. Still no OTG support.
2. USB debugging not working.
3. Definitely should have included Swype keypad.
4. And should have had EASY SIM CARD SWAP for 3g...
Anyways good job by Xolo... Definitely worth the update…

After updating to 4.2.1 on Xolo Q800, my experience is as follows:
1. Overall seems like a stable and slightly faster firmware with a new colorful UI feel. Haven't seen any noticeable difference in battery perf, but may be too early to comment.
2. Camera works fine (and the settings have some new options like Panorama shot).
3. GPS seems to get fix faster (with EPO enabled).
4. Had some minor issues like contact name/photo won't show up during call (fix:delete contact, restore from backup), dock camera app won't work (fix:delete icon and re-add), etc.
5. Can add more stuff to Lock screen - e.g. Google Now (in addition to Home screen in 4.1).
6. One negative: Google Play Music seems to have no EQ setting option now (strange!)

Another issue, all the contents in my SD card got deleted during the upgrade. Did anyone face this problem?

But my android does not get updated ur says error n my phone boots into recovery

i updated d phone to android 4.2 and found no problems with contacts and camera but my phone restarted on its own a few times when i turned on d screen...

I updated via software downloads from xolo site.... I have not experienced any problem as stated by some here on gsmarena... no contact problems.. No problem on messaging section also. Just download file from the official site and copy the doll Lee from pic to SD card and then without opening the file go to phones xolo care app and check for update... U will find the package their and click continue.... installation will take place. Of the file fails to open then download Achiever AOL application from play store.
