Been using Q800 phone for about 3 weeks now. The display and touch on the 4.5 inch screen looks and feels amazing! The Jellybean processor along with the 1.2 Gz Quad core processor gives such smooth appearance both while regular usage and while gaming also.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a high performing smartphone within a budget.

AnonD-143112, 21 Jun 2013First let me tell you that I've using this phone since 55 d... morebro now it doesn't remains the best mobile as its processor is degraded from mtk6589 to 6589w-m which cant record and play 1080p video.also it reduces the processor performance.I thnk xolo x910 is better thn this..

Hai i am having mt6589 version it records 1080p videos easily and it doest not lag even a single time and even on heavy usage it easily last whole day best phone under 13k and better than other quad corebudget phones

M using xolo q800 (MT6589) from last 2 months and no issues till date :-) the camera quality is Fantastic (thanx to BSI & CMOS SENSOR). Camera quality is also better even in low light. quad core processor is buttery smooth while multitasking. It easily manages 20-25 apps running at a time with 1GB of RAM. Skype calling is too good on 3G network.
Screen size is perfect 4"5 which is handy rathr than 5"phablets. Its having a better build quality for normal as well as rough use. Looks are very premium class, u can compare this device with grand. This product of xolo is best under 12k

Can anyone help me for two following issue which I am facing with the handset Xolo Q800
1. There is no option of Ringer + Vibrate in sound or profile which I am sure all the phones have
2. Navigation problem it just keep on searching for GPS the current location even though my maps is working fine but no GPS support if I need to get the Directions in the Navigation if I set from my location to the end point, how do I fix this problem as I travel a lot and Navigation is very Imp in today’s world I have a Motorola Defy in which this works very good Note: I have tried this on Wi-Fi and normal mobile network both.

1) any apps to improve call clarity / mp3 songs
2) any app for led notification
3) how to make mobile work with laptop wifi without router. ad hoc connection not being detected on mobile

its build is best
camera is superb
gaming is good
screen is good
internet is fast
processor is good
it is best mobile in india with dual sim , screen smaller then 5"......with very less price tag....

Friends I am using the Q800 from last 60 days, amazing phone and great experience. Penny wise worth. No case of hanging or as such, excellent battery support. Highly RECOMMENDED for internet usage and CAMERA.

Quite a good phone within the 12k range. And the 8MP camera is a steal! The touch feels amazing on the 4.5 inch screen. Been using it for 2 months now, and loving it.

First let me tell you that I've using this phone since 55 days now, and except 1 time lag in these 55 odd days that too when I played Asphalt 7 and a small heating just below the rear lens, this phone is THE BEST HANDSET you can even get compared with ANY handset below rs 16000 in India.

These were the specifications of the Stock Xolo q800 ROM when I had purchased. I had 109 apps installed that time(system
apps included; services excluded).
Now I have this rooted to UltimateV2 ROM with 4.2.1 JellyBean and 212 apps installed and it gives free RAM of 697 MB out of 975 MB just after reboot and 550MB while multitasking excluding games (checked in all-in-one Toolbox, ROM Toolbox Pro, Android Tuner) [It gave 655 MB free RAM in Stock (OEM) Xolo ROM after reboot and 535MB free RAM while the other.

I would rate this device 9.6/10. I cut off 0.4 for its little heating while long HD video shooting and high graphics rendered games and the following minor cons.
CONS:-
i) no USB port OTG
ii) no NFC but there is WiFi Direct which works as fine as NFC
iii) no notification light
...still the best deal under 16,000. Beats any phone handsdown with its hardware and its perfect delivery as per expectations. Moreover, if you root the phone anytime in future, it would be your little heavenward smartphone.

The Video recording is actually at full 1080p HD.
The specs at both the Xolo website as well as in "About Phone" is incorrect as in any video player which shows video resolution, the resolution is displayed at 1920x1080 for any video taken in "fine" mode (adjustable in stock settings) (for ex. in MX Player for Android) which clearly means it can shoot in full 1080p HD in its rear lens, and 720p with 1.2 mp quality through it's front lens. Please correct- see the Xolo-Q800 forum in facebook, this is discussed in minute details-all xolo q800 users are there :)

Excellent Phone. If u want 4.3" den q800 is best choice. better dan Grand Quattro, A116, A110, Grand except cheap headphone

This phone model is previously shipped with SoC MTK6589 which is capable of 1080P recording and playback in H/w mode.Now it's downgraded to MTK6589M which only support 720p and GPU is underclocked than the former one.Yet a powerful one but cannot be compared to the old XOLO Q800..But the good news is price is also dropped to under Rs.10000 from 12500/-.
I bought the former EPIC 1080P capable version of the model 2 months back from flipkart for Rs.12500 and is working fine till now.
You may experience some occasional rebooting problem & small heating issue while playing high end graphics games.
Otherwise it's a good phone for telephony,gaming,photography & multimedia entertainment...
