Xperia XZ2 accidentally outed by carrier on Twitter

A curious customer tweeted to Three Ireland, inquiring about the availability of a new Sony Xperia handset. More specifically, Mike was asking about the Xperia XA2. In response, the carrier tweeted back that it would not carry the XA2, but that the XZ2 was coming soon to the carrier.

The Xperia XZ2 has not been formally announced, so the message was a mistake, and was deleted soon after. Thanks to a screenshot from the guys over at Xperia Blog, we are able to see the tweet.

Last we’ve heard, Sony might be announcing one or two new smartphones at the MWC later this month. There are rumors of a Sony Xperia XZ2 and a possible Sony Xperia XZ Pro, a device that would succeed the Xperia X Performance. Details are still quite tight-lipped but more will become apparent once the MWC rolls around.

Sony recently announced its Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2 at CES, though it is definitely saving the higher end devices for a European announcement. Which future Sony device are you most excited for?

Did you see an Apple one year old and a Sony one year old? The Apple looks like 3rd hand and the Sony as new. You do not know what quality is.

Yes. Different people have different taste. I just feel disappointed why xperia does not provide this on oreo update. I very seldom record 4k video so it don't bother me that much anyway. Sorry because english is not my mother tongue.
