You can now order Google's Daydream View VR headset and the 4K Chromecast Ultra

Vlad, 20 October 2016

As you may remember, Google didn't only unveil the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones at its big October 4 event. There were many more things outed that day, two of which are now finally available to order. We're talking about the Daydream View VR headset and the 4K-capable Chromecast Ultra.

Both of these can now be ordered from the Google Store, while the Daydream View is also listed by Verizon. The carrier says it will ship by November 16, while Google is being more vague, putting its shipping estimate in the "2-3 weeks" region.

Either way, it looks like both of these are set to become available at some point in mid-November. That goes for the US - elsewhere things are less clear. Remember, if you pre-ordered a Pixel, you're going to receive a Daydream View for free. To take advantage of this offer, look for an email from Google that will contain a code for your free VR headset.

AMOLED is a requirement, due to the faster pixel switching times. LCD is too slow at switching and can cause headaches and generally a bad experience.

Is amoled necessary or lcd can work too
