You can now use the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact on Verizon, if you buy it from somewhere else
Good news for fans of smaller smartphones who live in the US and happen to have Verizon as their carrier of choice. The network nicknamed Big Red has just certified the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact for use on its airwaves.
Unfortunately though, Verizon isn't going to be selling the phone itself. Still, this certification helps if you plan to buy an XZ2 Compact elsewhere and then use it on this particular carrier. Up until now, Sony's latest and greatest was only known to work with AT&T, T-Mobile, and the various MVNOs using their networks.
The Xperia XZ2 Compact became available to purchase in the US in unlocked form not long ago, and you can head to Best Buy, for example, to pick one up for $649.99. You can choose between black, Moss Green, Coral Pink, and White Silver color versions.
