I got this phone 3 weeks ago, and I'm extremely disappointed with its battery life. I mean, even with disabled wifi, 5g, gps and Bluetooth, dark mode on, energy save on, screen brightness at 10% and refresh rate locked at 60hz, the phone will drain 30% of the battery overnight, while it sits idle. I have even enabled the developer mode to restrict the number of processes allowed to run in the background, but that didn't work either. I'm also surprised at how much of its 8gb RAM is constantly being used, even under light use, although I'm not sure if this is an issue with the phone or android (13 then upgraded to 14). Has anyone else been dealing with those problems?

I'm in Australia and had to use the rescue tool to upgrade to Android 14, as it wasn't received OTA. The rescue tool is showing that there's a newer build available, which I presume is the April patch, but it's also not available OTA. Has anyone received an update with the April patch? I'm not going to wipe my phone every month in order to receive updates.

              How many nits?

I'm a long time moto (and IBM / Lenovo) fan (25+ years). Currently I'm using a Moto Edge 20 Lite/Fusion for 2 years now. I would like to upgrade to the ThinkPhone - but I'm disappointed this does not come with eSIM. As a traveling business user, I travel through multiple different countries regularly and buying / swapping physical SIM cards each time, or having to rely on roaming is not efficient at all. I know the 2023 Edge+ has eSIM, but I prefer the look and feel of this ThinkPhone model... ;) ... I'm waiting to see if the next iteration of the ThinkPhone would have eSIM..

Hi, i'm looking for the motorola thinkphone, sadly the price is too high in poland for me to buy it (around 3,5k pln) while it costs around 399 USD in the US which translates to around 1.5k PLN which is actually quite affordable and costs 2k pln less than the polish counterpart.
Now there is the question, if i buy it will it work normally in Poland? Will i have some service if it breaks? Does it have the same kind of software as the polish version?(I plan on using the english language for it). Will i be able to even buy it since the site is so buggy that it doesn't allow me to order it?

Bought the phone last week and received 14 yesterday. I am a bit of a phone geek and typically buy 3 phones per year. Most recent are the Flip 5, Razr Plus, S23, Pixel 7 & 6a, etc. I am glad I ga8Moto another try because I live this phone. Very good screen and I love the Kevlar back and wish other manufacturers would ditch the glass back. Fingerprint sensor is very quick and face ID works very well. I like Motos UI better than stock Android and Samsungs UI6. I can't figure out how they claim the screen 6.6" because it isn't. I measure 163mm or 6-3/8". I knew before buying a 6.6" screen wouldn't fit in the body dimensions, but I still love this phone and for $395 nothing come close.

Just received Android 14 with February security patch, great news!

Where can I find super minimal cases for this phone? Exactly or close to the one it comes included with.

                                      It has a flat screen.

It supports all American 5g networks, including Verizon's, which visible uses. Here is a list of all supported networks from Motorola's website. https://en-us.support.motorola.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/172810/~/thinkphone-by-motorola---carrier-compatibility

If my LG V35 didn't shit out on me recently, I wouldn't have just bought the thinkphone for 394$ off amazon today. A year old flagship chip being "still capable" just amuses the shit out of me. I must be REALLY POOR if something that is still top tier is being looked down on. haha

It's like saying the 12,900k is still 'capable' in 2024...
