David 040882, 02 Dec 2022You are either pretty bad at being ironic or you are seriou... moreCache is a special kind of RAM, much faster than the system’s main RAM.
It stores a shadow copy of some data in the main RAM for quicker access.
It can also be used to store writes to the main RAM so the CPU doesn’t have to wait for those to finish… and in fact, sometimes a write still waiting in cache will be overtaken by a new write to the same location, and never actually happen.
There’s a lot of technology that goes in to making sure that the right bits of memory are in the cache at any given time, and if there are multiple CPUs or cores, making sure all the cores have the same view of memory when that is required.

David 040882, 02 Dec 2022You are either pretty bad at being ironic or you are seriou... morereason facebook has memory leak because its been programmed in a way where it pre-loads new posts all the time in the background, which left unchecked will exhaust your computer’s ram obviously.. if u are using chrome, u can simply end the process of the facebook tab when you are not using it or simply close the tab. leaving facebook open is a bad idea because in less then a hour it will use more then 1gb memo

David 040882, 02 Dec 2022You are either pretty bad at being ironic or you are seriou... moreAndroid is a device where you don’t really close applications. You just put it in “sleep mode”. That basically means that even if you think an app is closed it can still eat up a lot of memory.

David 040882, 02 Dec 2022You are either pretty bad at being ironic or you are seriou... moreNowadays, developers are creating or modifying their apps according to users preferences. They are constantly improving user experience which require lot of resources.
When you run an app or game on your phone, it’s loaded into RAM. As long as an app is still in RAM, you can jump back into it where you left off without loading it afresh. This is why RAM is important for multitasking. The loaded apps stay there until your RAM fills up and needs to flush something to make room for something else.
In theory, more RAM means that you can have more processes and therefore more apps running at once.

David 040882, 02 Dec 2022You are either pretty bad at being ironic or you are seriou... moreThe more RAM your phone has, the more stuff it can keep in its working memory. As you open additional apps (or additional content within a single app), your phone allocates available RAM to each new process. Eventually, there's no available RAM left, and your device has to decide which processes to end to keep things running smoothly. All else being equal, a phone with 8GB of RAM will be able to keep more processes active than one with 4GB of RAM, so jumping between activities will feel faster on the phone with more RAM.

David 040882, 02 Dec 2022You are either pretty bad at being ironic or you are seriou... moreThe amount of RAM we need is certainly growing. The average smartphone user launches has 110 apps installed and uses 46 different apps in a month, according to App Annie’s analysis of the second quarter of 2020. Digging into the memory tab in the settings of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20, which has 8GB of RAM, reveals 4.7GB of memory being used, with 748MB reserved, and 2.6GB free. That’s a lot being used, just as background use, and clearing background apps only frees up to 3.5GB of space.

David 040882, 02 Dec 2022You are either pretty bad at being ironic or you are seriou... moreAn obvious one is a general sluggishness throughout your system. Apps might be slow or take a long time to load.
Apps may crash as they don't have enough memory to run. This is most likely to apply to games, or if you're working with very large files.
Apps running in the background will be closed down. When you re-open an open, you won't pick up where you left off, you'll restart at the app's home screen again.
You'll see your home screen re-draw. When you exit an app and return to your home screen, you'll briefly see a blank screen before the icons and widgets return. These had been removed from memory and are being reloaded.

notafanboy, 29 Nov 2022Looks like those fake S22 Ultra phones from wish dot com. It's kinda hard to make a phone with thin bezels and no curvature around the corners of the screen *not* look like an S22 ultra considering that's virtually your only design option with such thin bezel requirements. I'd also like to point out that this phone has a different camera island to the S22 ultra, and no cutout in the screen. Also, I'd like to point out that the Axon 40 ultra was released 93 days after the S22 ultra. It's IMPOSSIBLE for them to have copied Samsung, by the time they announced the S22 ultra the design was likely close to if not finalized.

Ticherhaz, 30 Nov 202212GB RAM is not enough. At least 64GB RAM for 800 EUR.Yes true I agree android is ram hig, just like servers need lots off ram memory, 24gb is ok for me, but 64gb Ram is super multitasking with 100 apps running won't lag, even you can have 200 apps running at background
