Chook, 15 Oct 2016Says available in China.... What about Australia????Presale from ZTE Australia now. AUD699, so not cheap with banana republic Aussie dollars. The big issue with Chinese mobiles is just what is in the hardware and software we dont know about.

This is direct from ZTE. Works out equivalent to £417 (and £14 cheaper than I paid!). I bought from Amazon.de direct because ZTE listing was sold out, but they've clearly stocked up!
Came within 3 days (and that was over a weekend), loving it so far!

I was just about to order one since I thought this would be one of those fully unlocked phones, but there is little support from XDA for it. I checked the year-old Axon Pro on XDA, and there is pitiful support (http://forum.xda-developers.com/zte-axon) . Does ZTE not have unlockable bootloaders? If not, why? Don't they want them to sell them to the people in the US who are most likely to buy them? Why would they cripple what looks to be, spec-wise, a great phone? A big battery, a true 5.5" display without wasting screen with soft buttons, and SD card capability (the lack of which causes me not to buy another Oneplus). But they don't allow XDA to provide the most battery efficient roms with the fastest updates and best performance for it? WTF, ZTE?

Essentially the same hardware, but certain features and settings in the software have been altered to meet the needs of the audience the model is going to. I've avoided buying the China version, as from what i've heard these models normally come with a different/more modified OS to suit the government restrictions etc, and to make them good for outside use they're wiped with a more 'friendly' OS (to include GAPPS etc). Too much fiddling around in my opinion. Could explain the bugs you got (but again I could be wrong); i've gone for an EU model as presumably this model is what the UK would get anyway? Will update and let you know any problems I get with mine (should land on my desk in the next 24 hours!)

If you can get it in the UK for a good... moreUnfortunately because of the crappy GBP (and we haven't even Brexited yet!) you pay slightly over the odds for this phone- I paid £430 from amazon.de, which is almost £100 above the RRP of £350 (US RRP is 400USD). But considering that retail is about to go up by 5% due to our crap currency, better 430 than more!

Pretty much everywhere i check it's from 480-550 $.Some ebay sellers sell it for 600$ even.Xiaomi mi 5 around 350$ yeah.So far almost the Zte axon 7 is around 400$.

Lenovo zuk z2 pro 6gb ram with 128gb memory (400 dollars) and simple zuk z2 (250 dollars) and Xiaomi mi5(300 dollars) are the best snapdragon 820 pricing phone available in the world right now..
Axon is nothing against those beasts in term of pricing, trust me ..

Not actually with similar price, even similar specs!
Lenovo Zuk Z2 Pro :
SD card slot/2K display/stereo speakers/ Dolby Atmos: "No" & for 64GB/4GBr = 530 euro
Axon 7 for 64GB/4GBr = 450 euro
Whis is better!? In my opinion, according to front dual stereo speakers: Axon 7 because Music is for me No.1

i just bought from ali it and very dissapointed. it is not as fast as it should be, both cameras are worst than in my previous cellphone which had 13 and 5 mpx cameras, android is not upgraded to nougat. could it be that ali sold a bullshit...?
