Yordan, 30 November 2020

ZTE might be having trouble on the international scene but the company keeps pushing phones in its domestic market. The latest handset is expected to arrive on December 2 and will be called ZTE Blade V2021 5G.

The phone is already listed on JD.com with some key features and specs, but pricing and availability are likely to be announced on Wednesday.

The Blade V2021 5G has a 48MP main camera on the back. It will be joined by an 8MP ultrawide-angle cam and a 2MP depth sensor for portraits, and the trio will be accompanied by a dual-color dual-LED flash. We also can see a fingerprint scanner on the back and at least three color choices.

On the specs side, this is pretty much all we know so far. However, there are some features listed that come naturally with all ZTE phones running the in-house UI - double-tap the home button for SOS distress signal, internal navigation, and access to some Chinese stores and platforms. There’s also an FM radio - a feature loved by smartphone users not only in China but all over the world.

Can somebody explain this naming scheme? Blade v20, now Blade v2021. How about apple releases the iPhone 2021 to match up with the year, eh?
