jen, 31 Jan 2013how about ALCATEL GLORY 2 compare to this one (ZTE V790) wh... morei just want to emphasize that glory 2 is good in terms of its speed and looks/style, but other flaws are slightly poor resolution on active/home screen compared to glory x 918n,then it does not support for third party sms app for dual sim function,,,hate it when i make outgoing txt coz theres only one default sim on go sms app,i cant make an option for the second sim...diffintly its good to have this one compared to other handset

If sim 1 is on default does that mean that all function is for sim1? In My nokia asha 200, you can assign the sim for txtng,browsing etc. My sim1 is for brwsing my sim2 is for txtng, sim1/2 for calling,

eyesore, 30 Jan 2013im able to buy this phone too and im happy for it. However... moreit has ~1GB ROM, 410MB allocated for INTERNAL STORAGE + 410MB for PHONE (system). you can do the math. your SD card will also display in the storage if you insert one.

im able to buy this phone too and im happy for it.
However,why the specs of this phone said that it has a 1gb internal memory but when yung check its setting it has a 410mb only.The 1gb is only for its sd card by default..
over all, this phone is great, it can match iphone 4 in performance

hey guys, may i ask how long is this unit's battery life when browsing using wifi? im planning to get d phone on globe. is this unit really locked on globe when you bought from them? does this unit can read pdf files hundred mb plus?

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2013why i cant connect my zte v790 phone in PC. . .you need to install the correct driver for your phone. i guess v790's from sun cellular has a built-in "auto-installer" once the phone is plugged in to the pc. not sure though.

and yes, this phone is superb for it's price. only issue i have is that i can't use Go SMS, can't choose which sim to use for texting - system default is sim 1.
phone is very responsive so far, battery lasts for almost 2 days on normal usage. audio and video quality is fine.
hope we can find a rooting procedure for this one so we can customize the status bar. anybody know how to access the system recovery for this phone? tia.

got mine from globe. weird that it is locked for globe sim only. what is the purpose for the dual sim if you cannot use another provider?! good thing i got the firmware updated. :) i can use sun cellular's now :)

Well, got this phone from sun cellular postpaid since Jan. 25, 2013 and right now i'm still enjoying the phone b'coz of it's capabilities. It even surpassed the specs of Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos which is on plan 999... What a bank for the buck value huh? Right. If you want this phone, get it now. I'm sure you'll be pleased. I've tried playing Temple Run 2, Anomaly Warzone Earth, Asphalt 6 and have never experienced lags or hang-ups. It's just that the battery won't last more than 2-3 hours if your a gamer but you can grab one of those power banks for around 800 or so. So, in short, excellent phone for it's price range. Can't compare it to samsung models as well as huawei coz all of those handsets are all stuck on gingerbread and pricey as well...

i read the specs of this phone it tells here that it has 1 Ghz...so if i can use it the viber application like voice call? what about the skype application i can use the voice call?

@SuperPhil, You can just compare the phone in this site. Anyway, The Huawei Ascend is also good. But from what i've seen, the Ascend is more expensive, thus its specs are not as powerful. Believe me, 256mb ram is NOT enough, also the V790 is running on ICS unlike the ascend which is still stuck on gingerbread.
