Just because Gemini or some other app runs on your outdated Android 10 device doesn’t mean your phone is getting new features. You’re not receiving system-level improvements, security patches, or performance optimizations. You’re just lucky those apps still support older versions for now. That’s not the same as having a supported, up-to-date OS.
Claiming updates are bad because they made your phone slower is a textbook case of generalizing from personal experience. If an update throttled your CPU or hurt battery life, blame the manufacturer’s poor software tuning, not the concept of updates. A bad update from Oppo doesn’t mean all updates are harmful. It means Oppo did a bad job. Updates are essential for keeping devices secure, compatible with modern apps, and optimized over time. Skipping them leaves you vulnerable and stuck in the past.
Honestly, if you don’t understand how firmware, security layers, or OS-level features work, you shouldn’t be giving advice on software. Basing your whole argument on anecdotal frustration while ignoring how the Android ecosystem works helps no one. There is no good reason for why ANY phone vendor would opt out of providing firmware/security updates. The only reason is corporate greed and planned obsolescence.

From my personal experience, new features are being added on Android 10, even in 2025. Yes, I've got Gemini and other improvements on my old phone. Android 15 is up to date and will be for at least 5-6 years if we talk features. Now, why I don't like updates? Because they make my phone slower. I have a flagship phone and after each update, the battery was worse and the performance and OPTIMISATION in games was worse. Color os from OPPO nerfed my find X3 pro. How? They made the phone throttle the CPU
at 35 degrees instead of 45. Results? Roblox is a mess and so are all the CPU intensive games after I did the updates. Now, you can say that my phone was using the overheating snapdragon 888, but you know, the snapdragon 8 gen 4 still overheats. That's why I'm just refusing to update my phone from now on. My rule is: IF IT WORKS FINE, DON'T UPDATE

For my it's good phone cause I have one zte A35 I play a lot of a game and it's have long life of batteries charge I using short time reach full charge and long time until o parentage , i real what those phone for my sell because it's better and good compare than iphone and Samsung cause everyone have it I like use new one new company

If you say 71-72mm still acceptable, there's xiaomi 15 & vivo x200 pro mini a chinese phone that's under 72mm wide. Samsung s25 ultra and iphone 16 pro max is wider than this phone. You're not talking about practicality, you're just hating chinese phone. This is a gaming phone, you have to keep that in mind.

The problem with Chinese phones is that they are physically too big. Way too tall and way too wide. Thickness does not matter. Anything over 150mm tall and over 70mm wide is extremely unpractical. That's why Samsung Galaxy and Apple Iphone rule. Compact phones with excellent hardware.
