1/1.3" and 35mm (equivalent) mean ~11mm (real) focal length and 16mm...17mm thickness, not just 8.4mm.
1/1.65" and 35mm (equivalent) mean ~9mm (real) focal length and 14mm...15mm thickness, not just 8.4mm.

Maybe next years model will have it and we can see if theres been any improvement

I admit the UDC quality is pretty bad, and I admit UDC tech is too early to be used, but it will clearly improve in the near future. And as I said, I would prefer no hole over even a tiny hole.
I'm not hating or saying it's bad just because of no UDC. It's a great phone for sure. My point is that Nubia could have experimented with an UDC (since nubia is the innovative brand of ZTE, AFAIK). But I guess it's a good thing for most people that they didn't.

People like taking family or group photos with them, id say theres a bigger minority of people willing to sacrifice a nice photo with friends or family for 0.3% more screen.
And again, look how TINY that hole punch is man, itll vanish anytime you watch a video or play a game unless your hyper focus and obsess over it.

What's with the top-tier devices NOT having a mSD Card Slot for Storage-expansion ??? So damn stupid..... Even though flagships may have a decent amount of Internal Storage, the mSD is STILL useful, at the very least for BACKUP-Purposes!!!
