geet, 26 Nov 2015It supports cdma SIM? Pls anyone give me answer. So I want... moreyes , it supports cdma sim but the slot for cdma sim is locked therefore the same slot only work for gsm sim at a time.. you have to go to service center to unlock the cdma slot. there is no phone in the market which support cdma and gsm sim at any time.

Tweak Your Kernel Parameters with Kernel Adiutor
The vast majority of custom kernels allow various modifications like selecting your governor, adjusting the maximum clock frequency, and much more. These paramters can be changed by executing commands through ADB or by using one of the kernel control applications created by various kernel developers here on XDA.
Applications that let you change kernel settings are often limited to a few basic options or are paid-only. If you are looking for a free app with nice design and a long list of settings to change, XDA Recognized Developer and Contributor Grarak might have something that can come in handy. Kernel Adiutor is an application that manages kernel parameters on rooted devices with Android 4.0 or newer.
This app can adjust the following settings: CPU (Frequency, Governor, Voltages), GPU (Frequency, Governor), Screen (Color Calibration [RGB]), I/O Scheduler, Kernel Samepage Merging, Low Memory Killer (Minfree settings), and Virtual Machine. Settings are also grouped in the nice looking menu in order to prevent the experience from becoming too overwhelming.
Before using this app, please note that setting some values may cause instability to your system or even cause hardware damage. In other words, please use this application with caution.
If your kernel developer hasn’t provided an application to control kernel parameters, this app is definitely a nice option to try out. You can download the app or contribute to its development by visiting the Kernel Adiutor application thread.
After using "Kernel Adiutor" on Nubia Z9 mini to set the CPU to work in between 1344-800 Mhz with the default "interactive-cfq" governor-I/O scheduler combo. also set the Z-Ram to 560 MB and Thermal core control ON. With these settings I got the best performance and with decent usage of calling, internet ,&battery....fluidity of user interface seems increased much. Temperature also under control..Unused RAM increased. Make use of it. ...

drtapas, 13 Dec 2015According to Ndtv , why its software is be lower than others Nubia User interface is not that good as Xiaomi UI but this can be override by installing Nova Launcher. No other major issues so far.I have 97% satisfaction with this device after using 2 months ...i have compared browsing and downloading speed with a branded phone having Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processorwith 2.2 GHz quad-core CPU,Where both of the phones connected on same WiFi will all settings in similar codition( by turning OFF power save mode and clearing background apps etc in both device) Nubia was 2 to 3 secs faster than other...
What matters is no one knows ZTE Zubia ...Can consider if u dont care branded idiots.
(ZTE is 9 th largest smart phone sellers in the world ....but they are very poor in Indian market.)

I flashed last month the official 3.14 and received last week automatically the 3.16 following by the 3.18 . But it's a little problem with the last one and cannot be installed. You must waiting until a new update is available. I'm in Switzerland and i use the french language.
It's a great phone!! I'm very happy with this device.

Summa summarum: If my exemplar of a ZTE Nubia Z9 mini wouldn't have these display/screen issues (see below), I would totally recommand this model.
I really like my zte nubia z9 mini. The pictures are great, everything works well, I could write a hymn about it, BUT: screen and display are simply disappointing.
1. After only two months, the display inclined heavily toward green colours, and former white letters appeared with 'wiped' strokes. which means the names of all apps appeared connected by horizontal lines. After one or two days I found out, that this problem disappears with brightness at max. 50% which was not dramatic because even 50 % worked great.
2. One or two weeks after that, the glass broke without hitting somewhere or something although I used an extra nano screen protection, and the glass did not break where the additional screen protection was cracked but in another place where the nano protection thing remained intact.
I travelled to Moscow to buy my ZTE nubia (in june 2015) because in my homecountry it is still not available. So, I was lucky that someone was travelling to Moscow and took it to a store where it was replaced (~90€). I got it back with a new display unit and bought an Amzer outdoor military style protection case for protection, and now really taking care that it does not fall down.
3. Only 3 weeks after repair, the new glass broke after falling the first time down: on a pillow on the floor.
Now it will be taken again to Moscow for repair but I am already looking for a new model which is not made by ZTE because another family member has a ZTE nubia Z7 mini and its screen stopped reacting just one week after mine has broken the first time (after aprox. 9 months of usage). According my researches, ZTE Nubia Z9 mini bears a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Really dissapointing.
Another issue: My Z9 mini exemplar stopped recognizing the SIM in SIM slot 2 after one month. I guess this problem is related to the display unit issues, too, because with the new display unit this SIM in slot 2 was recognized again, at least most of the time. Fortunately, I don't depend on it.
Last minor, but sometimes disturbing minus: (Re)booting the ZTE Nubia Z9 mini, you always hear the ZTE melody aloud, even if headphones are connected. Pressing the volume buttons does not change the volume of this melody at all. (the melody itself is ok)

Nubia -Stay unique in crowd
Pros:
Excellent Camera (Have compared with Sony Xperia Z1 ), was able to capture pics with good natural colors.
Call Quality is good and no call drop issues.
WiFi signal strength is good.
User Interface is smooth and lag free, before buying this, In many reviews i have seen that OS is worst ,as of now i didnt find any such issues. i think such bugs as been fixed in software update.
Display is good but not better than Xiaomi Mi4i.
Battery last for 1 day on moderate to heavy usage.
Excellent looks.
Split screen is amazing.
Double tap wake up , Palm screen lock, Auto answer , Spilt screen and an excellent camera made me to go for this device.
Will not disappoint you if you are switching from a device which is bellow 15000/-
Front camera performance of Sony Z1 is no where near to this device!!!
Can consider Moto X Play, if not giving much importance to camera and looks
Cons :
No developers to port Custom ROMs for this device
