Notification LED is only Red color. It can be customized to turn on/off for selected apps/functions etc. WhatsApp etc for notification, LED can work and also turning on screen with message preview notification do works too. Likely your phone is rooted if using outside of China, do grant Superuser full access for all app to working proper etc.
Phone is great, even for its price point it is in a different class compared to its competitors at the level. Audio output and camera quality is one of the best. Picture are sharp, colors are well balanced and details not lost. Low light photography is somewhat better than Asus PixelMaster. PixelMaster lowlight mode tends to have lots of noise and lost of details.
Battery life is good too. So far ZTE Z9 Mini is a real good deal.

How can you go around no notification led. Is home button pulsating or changing color if I got a text or missed a call?

phone is good but it has draw back with watsapp, it will not show notification and one main thing is very bad at servicing . customer care people are very bad they will not give any info.

To make clear that this phone has google account, you must register and logged in with nubia account first.
Settings -> Account -> (Register & Logged In) -> The third party accounts -> Google
To whitelisting services (whatsapp, facebook, skype, line, etc):
HOME BUTTON (hold to show recent apps) -> Circle X (hold) -> Service White List -> (choose app)
Note: you must have the running app to enable whitelist specific app
