looks like a decent phone, very practical aimed at the elderly i guess.. but that's just my two cents.
with advancements nowadays its good that some companies still think of different age populations, and clearly this phone is actually directed towrads consumers who prefer to have phones that are "phones". Need a cab? no videophone required there. Call for a pizza? Again no videophone needed.
The additional SOS button is just an attractive feature, an extension to what some may recognize as a speed dialling button. But with speed dialling buttons of up to 8 different entries (buttons 2 - 9 in most phones nowadays), separating it to a single button located at the back of the phone shows that it actually and is purposely made as a speed dialling one touch button.
Easy to use, simple layout, not much of buttons to fiddle around with, this would definitely be a great gift for those who simply hate technology.
Then again like i said earlier, its just my two cents. :)

This phone is actually designed for the elderly. Pressing the SOS button on the back automatically sends emergency SMS to 5 of your designated recipients

Tried a pre-release model in Tasmania, Australia which is an area renowned for it's lack of network coverage.
It was fantastic. This phone seems to be aimed at those of us with deteriorating senses. IT'S LOUD . . . you can here the ring and probably the speakerphone on the other side of a football field. The buttons are easy to see and use and it has an emergency call button on the back which can be programmed to dial an emergency contact.
The inbuilt FM radio works without earphones.
In my opinion, it's the perfect granny phone.
