ZTE nubia Z50 Ultra to bring 4th-gen under-display camera
ZTE is planning to announce the nubia Z50 Ultra with a 4th-generation under-display camera, revealed Ni Fei, President of Mobile Devices at the Chinese company. In a lengthy post on Weibo, he explained the nubia brand has been in the smartphone business for over a decade, and the new Ultra will have a new solution that has been in development for six years and is the “culmination of nubia technology.”
The nubia brand is partially owned by ZTE and its operations in China are controlled by the network equipment and smartphone maker. Devices with selfie cameras under the screen have been a thing for over two years, starting with the Axon 20, and the nubia brand got the UD treatment with the launch of the gaming device Red Magic 7 Pro.
The nubia Z50 Ultra will be the first all-around flagship with the feature, and we are not surprised Ni is betting on the smartphone. The device itself leaked in schematics posted by Digital Chat Station, and we can see pointy edges of the phone with flat sides. The camera island will be rectangular, with the main shooters being placed on the left-hand side.
The images also reveal some sort of a notification/alert slider that will have a rough texture; the bottom will have room for a speaker grille, the SIM slot and the USB-C port, while the top side will have an IR blaster. The phone was already spotted in a spy photo, and we expect to see it announced sometime next month.

Seems like your ignorant self is showing. This "alert" button can be customized to -opening an app/sound on/off/ or opening the game space-. (As of MyOS 12/13) Long time Nubia user here. Good day.
