Musa, 12 Jan 2024Worst phone ever, screen resolution and camera not worth th... morespecs posted here are totally wrong, this phone has snapdragon 680 cpu, 2400x1080 screen, but it has NO 5G. this phone is actually kinda equal to, for example, samsung A15, but has 2GB more RAM for the same price and better video stabilization.

Whoever is saying this phone is bad, they do not know how to take care of a phone and they also don't know the difference between good quality cameras and bad ones. Oppo A series from 77 and up are absolutely excellent, even my friends with iPhones say so because Apple does not have a camera that goes beyond 48mp. If they are posting pictures on social media and the quality is being compressed, it's bc they did not set the quality tab on their social media pages. Apple uploads the best quality automatically, an Android needs to be set in the social media settings.

So I have been using the Oppo A78 5G for 9 months and 12 days. The phone is an excellent budget phone, and here I got it for $168, which is a killer deal. The 50MP camera is average, but takes good enough pictures. Selfie camera is BAD!
The phone has enough battery for me to use it for 1.5-2 days and 33W SuperVOOC charges it quickly.
I got the Android 14 [ColorOS 14] update recently, and the smoothness is very good.
I do miss an AMOLED and Punch Hole display in the phone though.

Awesome phone for its price. My only complaint is that the ColorOS 13 in my phone is crippled and lacks feature other Oppo phones have, such as Large Folders and Shelf. Not sure if it's a region thing or something Oppo does to differentiate model tiers, but it is not advertised and a disappointment anyway. While not a life changer if you are interested in those features I'd suggest to research the status in your region before buying.

I had only issues with this phone unfortunately.
The fingerprint worked only when it wanted to work, it didn't matter if I cleaned my finger or cleaned the sensor, it just didn't want to work when unlocking the phone. I mostly used the face recognition but good luck at night. Except from that the youtube playback when going to 1080p60fps can be choppy from time to time, not talking about 1440p, that becomes choppy from the get go. A good entry level phone. Not a good I'll keep it phone.

I used Oppo Find X5 Pro, previously had Oppo Find X3 Pro. That's the best two phones I even had. Keep in mind that I used to have Xperia 1 III, 1 V, Galaxy S21 Ultra - S23 Ultra, pretty much all Google Pixels apart from 7Pro/ 8Pro..
