I have just been looking at Satio in an O2 store and was told that the staff have been instructed on "rachael" which should arrive in November!
Even with SE's complete inability to meet a target release, that still means Dec or Jan... Worth waiting for?

And even C905, or C903 phones. I think this is NOT a smart move from them. People like the Cyber-Shot series, if they will discontinue too soon those phones they will make another mistake. This is my opinion. I really HOPE they will announce some great phones at MWC, they need to announce a very high-end phone, and a mid-range phone(with example 5MP camera, 2.6 inch screen, Symbian OS,330MHZ CPU Wi-Fi, and GPS.) The high-end phone needs a 16GB(or bigger) internal memory(expendable), 3.5 or bigger WVGA screen, 12MP camera(with good lens or even optical zoom), HD video recording, Symbian OS 9.5, Arm Cortex A9 CPU! Nokia and Samsung will announce phones with 64GB internal memory(the Nokia Superman phone has 3.5 inch WVGA screen, 1GHZ CPU, Linux OS, 64Gb internal memory(expandeble), 12MP camera, and maybe QWERTY!) Samsung probably will announce a 64Gb internal memory smartphone with 12MP camera, 3x optical zoom, HD video recording Symbian smartphone. LG I heard has a 12mP smartphone too. Next year will be a very interesting year! I can't wait till MWC! I really hope SE will make GOOD moves next year!!!

i have told this on other se forums and i will tell it here too.
se will not have many phones next year , and they will stop the production of the old models and concentrate to production of the new models in big numbers in order to reach to all the high demand cusumers , and by stoppin g the production of the old models they will save resources and keep the path for the new ones.
series c and w could be removed since they are paying high price to sony to use thses names , cybershot and walkman .
yes we shall see more smartphones next year , and they will be categorized from mid range , high end and very high end phones ,, they have started the trend in combining the c and w in satio and Aino and they will use names instead of numbers .
the new director of se has big ambition to bring the company back to track next year and he wanto to produce quality phones ,,, i hope that 2010 feb barcelona will give us some faith in their proposed new platform , i can see that 1 high quality camera phone and another music phone and the rest will be smart phones like x 2 and x3 .
as you can see satio aino and the new phones susan are the new stratedgy for se to be in the market , as if se is giving new signals to the crowed for its new evolution .
i also beleive that they will invest in the net phonini more than to be a camera or a walkman , and they will try to combine all the features in one phone to include everything and this is for the very high end phone ..,
current phones for the c and w series have limited abilities and flexibility , hence the new trend is to make sony ericsson more universal phone that can mold with universal applications and connections , , they have already started with micro sd card and next year we shall see the usb universal charger method
it was verbally said that sony ericsson will minimise the gadgets in their phone packages like chargers , headphones , usb wires , maybe next year you might end up purchasing se mobiles only phone and battery and a cd , the rest of the gadgets to be purchased seperately ,, since these gadgets are not used by many people and its raising the price of the phone plus its becoming enviromentaly waste , , so se is trying to be eco friendly company .
i hope that sony finally give some real back up to se , if you look carefully sony and ericsson can not afford to loose se as a company , since its arch rival samsung has already been growing as a group and as a mobile manyfacturere and its has passed both sony and se in sales and technology ,,, so if sony looses sony ericsson it will be like a big set back for sony as a electronic company ,,, so thats why sony ericsson director mentioned that they will concentrate on r&d and explore new technologies so they dont stay stagnated .. also ericsson cant afford to loose its name by loosing sony ericsson since sony ericsson completes the telecommunication and media sector for both sony and ericsson ...
i dont think with this current move that sony ericsson will get bankrupt and it will continue to be on the shelves at least for the next 2 years (considering the worst cases) but as it seems the new director has strict plans to catapult the company forward.
look at i phone it , currently it has only 1 model on the market and its doing well , so the new trend os sony ericsson is not the quantity like samsung and lg is by quality and having less phones packes with full features so people can get one and be happy also they have to do something with the pricing ...
the new director of se have mentioned that the average price of se should rise , here i did not understand the comment , we are looking for more high end affordable phones , but the man wants to raise the average price ,,, i see some contradiction in his comments ,, since you cant win the market with very expensive prices , many p;eople dont have the budget for it and not many will put cash for super high technology nowdays
i think that i have covered the general approach that we might expect next year from sony ericsson , but i always hope that it will be better and much more that we have immagined and thought

Sony Ericsson changed X3 to X10 because of the new Nokia X3 and X6... Like nokia didn't knew that there was a Xx serie with SE.
