Geeeh!!! I does NOT have a socket for EXTERNAL MEMs! No slots for SD CARDS! wont buy this.

I just bought this phone yesterday in Bahrain for BD.139/- (i.e. equivalent to Rs.20000). I must say it's really a good phone and is a bang for the buck. Due to it's slimness, handling is superb and hardly feel in the pocket. Screen resolution is too good and sunlight legitimacy too. I have used Samsung Note, S3, Note2 and S3 mini but somehow I like this phone a lot compared to Samsung. Voice clarity is loud and clear during conversations. Built in speakers is also loud while hands free operation. Signal strength is very strong for voice calls and connects to 3G very fast and holds without dropping.
Touch screen is highly responsive and it's pleasure to handle. My advice, you just can go for it if you are looking as an option for Samsung and believe me you will not be disappointed.

It is not yet available in India. Getting launched on April 26th with release of IRON MAN-3 since this phone has been used in few scenes in the movie. There will be huge marketing of this phone. Alcatel in India is under the name of T&A Mobiles Phones Ltd i.e. TCL & Alcatel. I think it will be overpriced. As per rumours it will be sold around 17k though MRP would be 19k.

No headphone socket? No problems, the alcatel I've got at the moment bluetooths all sounds to speakers headphones etc, I just tend to drop phones with cables!.

Well I would love to see another player coming out with a competitive device. I am more happy that it Alcatel, one of the pioneers of the Mobile phones. But I am not sure how long those batteries can run a 4.85 inch device or a 5 inch device. With 1820 and 2000 mah battery respectively sure it will force the users to carry on chargers in their pockets. Well its competition now, with blackberry and Nokia coming out with great devices, HTC and Sony too catching up, sure the techi minds will definitely work on new features, to get hold of the market share. We customers got lot to review and choose now.

It is wonderful phone you guys need to try it. Alcatel getting back to hit the market just wait couple of months it already launched in USA and soon will be launched in Bahrain....
