is it normal for you to have to have the main lcd open to use the bluetooh (handsfree) on device to work. Because when i close the lid,while being sync to bluetooth on a call it disconnects it, the only way it doesnt do it is if the main lcd is open.

Only way to turn off seems to be to put phone on silence but thenI miss calls !

i got this basic phone for my mom,seems to be everything she needs,
anyway,can somebody tell me what icon/symbol is next to the signal strength bar? it's a black square with a yellow "E" in it and a red "tick" sign.
it is not documented in the quick start or regular manual.

You get what you pay for- bought a 665 from Orange on PAYG for £45 for my wife. My own Alcatel OT-223 cost £9.99 from Orange on PAYG and does everything I require- does calls & texts. No problem.

in response to anonymous you can get rid of the noise by going into profiles on the main menu and switching from outdoor mode to indoor mode.

This is the worst phone I have ever owned. It drops service, turns itself off, the front display and keypad backlighing have quit working and I have had the phone 5 months.
I ordered a new Samsung today, this POS will make an excellent door wedge soon.

Seems to be missing basic features like one number dialing, also no ability to set up button shortcuts. My last basic phone a Nokia had these features.

Just purchased this phone and very happy with the advice given by other owners like most very confusing manual - but overall very happy.
