I read what you wrote and I want to help you to improve the performance for your phone. the simplest and fastest is to do'' factory data reset'' , and so the phone back to its original state, -then- of course was good but as you put more and more applications it becomes slower and freezes . but this 'erases all data' on the phone so it's best to first get all your data and if you have an ''SD card'' in the phone then you first took it out . for better work phone and a longer life battery, ''delete facebook application'' and after log in through the browser . delete all useless applications that take internal memory, but ones that are in the system ,and can not be explicitly delete, then do ''disable'' ( say - youtube,-google play music,- google play movies, etc.) .about display set on minimum brightness , and do not use for longer than 15-20 min, uninterruptible .at least once a week power off overnight and when the battery reaches the 20-25% put it on the charger and charging up to 95-98 %--not to 100 %
because that does not count charge cycles, and better working, greeting.

I come from a poorer country, so I really can't afford an iPhone 6 or anything lol
I saved up for it and it's fine. Had it for a year now. The only complaints I have are:
- Battery drains too fast. Seriously, it can't stay for more than 2 and a half hours, luckily I don't use phones very much so this isn't too big of an issue.
- Touch screen is really uncalibrated. I had an alcatel phone before this (no idea what model) and it had a choice to re-calibrate, this one doesn't. You CAN get used to it (I did) but it's still pretty annoying.
- Not for games. ok duh
if you want to play HD games get a tablet or something. I know that this only plays the most basic games but seriously, I didn't buy this to play Asphalt 8.

My first android device, most functions are good but battery too small and touch screen in keyboard mode is unusable, cant find app to recalibrate screen as it is not only wrong but not always the same amount wrong, using browser is not possible and entering passwords,,,,,,,forget it.

Pro : Very good as a phone . Fast processor , beautiful colors of the display , great looking , Flight mode
Cons : The camera takes photos with not real colors !!! The RAM 512MB is way little and sometimes not enough .
Other thoughts : Good choice for the price . As a camera it is awful enough

Crappiest phone I've ever owned. Frustratingly slow, unresponsive, generally rubbish. What the hell Alcatel?!

This phone is like a girlfriend! Always drive me crazy!!! It´s still keep frozen, most of the time if the phone is locked and need to be ready to use. So slow phone I don´t remember that I ever had. Alcatel was, is and will be always crap brand!!! Just pretty good is speaker and if you really have good hearphones, you can use at least as MP4 player, that´s it :D :D
If you do full reset without back up, you can use it up to one month. Back up doesn´t work very well as in my windows laptop.
This phone was for 19 euros and blocked just for my provider, so for this money and for a while is not that bad...

I was never able to use the GPS. I was never able to use internet via mobile data, or tether properly. There was a serious offset in the touch response. That last one really got to me and I threw it on the wall. You have no idea how satisfying the crunch was.

I've had this phone for 9 months and I am starting to experience problems with it. it is fine as a temp phone but i wouldn't recommend it as a full time phone.

I just had this phone recently and I use the calender for appointments a lot but I'm not finding it that friendly to use, like how do I copy and paste an appointment to other dates? Can I synchronize from my PC calender to this phone?

Avoid this phone! It is slow, unresponsive and has a terrible touch screen. I have been using it for half a year, my nerves could not take it anymore. I smashed it on the ground and pierced it with a screwdriver over and over! Felt good.
I have used a lot of phones, this one is the worst by far! If someone gives it as a present, say thanks and never use the damn thing. Your nerves are priceless, unlike this piece of crap called phone.
And this is not Alcatel hate, my previous phone was Alcatel One Touch Tribe that I used for 5 years. That is why I bought this one, Alcatel again... worst decision of my life!

It's a pretty solid phone for its price. Battery life is not as good, but good enough if you're not a heavy user.
Not really suitable for gaming, due to it running older MediaTek processors, and a 512MB RAM capacity.
All in all, a good phone for those who only want a simple phone, without all the excessive stuff.
