Android 5.1 soak test started for Moto X (2014) on Verizon in US

The first and second gen Moto X are about to get their Android 5.1 Lollipops update in the US and the rollout is expected to start next week. Carriers have already launched the the soak-test for the Moto X (2013) and Moto X (2014), which already got the Android 5.1 update in several other regions.



David Schuster, senior director for software product at Motorola Mobility, stated that the soak-test of the Android 5.1 update for the Moto X (2014) owners on Verizon network has commenced. For now, the firmware is only available to a closed test group. Once they are pleased with its performance, the soak-test will seed to all Moto X owners on Verizon.

Got 5.1 yest...Phone is zippy(Not that it was not zippier earlier). The chop to turn on flashlight is very cool. Be careful - if your case ain't grippy...it'll fly 0ut of your hands. Overall - very happy and this rocks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
