Mills, 18 Oct 2022Usually I'd defend Apple but I have to agree. Now that... moreLast year i bought ipad pro M1 (256gb) variant for the price slightly higher than what current ipad air (256gb) costs. It was expensive for me but now seeing these price hikes ...that deal looks more sensible now.
However i'd i overestimated my needs and bought pro variant (which i shouldn't have) but atleast this will last me 5-6yrs with ease. No more apple products from now on...its fkng restrictive & file management sucks big time.

Well, almost this ipad has nothing new but the Design and the Chip. They upgraded the Design and Prossesor and also upgraded the price too. That would be more fun if the price would like the last year and That's not good news

over all specs are good and it look great , but to be hones from 349$ to 580$ this is called scam form apple (the point is if you make new designe this is note my case to pay extra over 200$ it's not something inovative removing home button ) , it make more sense to get the air with M1 for some little bit more $

This is a HORRIBLE value.
For INR 8K or USD 100 more you should get the iPad Air for a vastly superior device with support for 2nd Gen Apple Pencil, Double the Graphic Cores, USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 over USB-C 2.0, which is literally 2X the bandwidth for external storage devices and potentially better display output, better camera with better focus abilities, and twice the RAM for nearly 3X the overall performance. Also, if it matters to you, more colours.
And for the guy who believes A14 is more than enough, well sure, good for you, but a more powerful SOC means a longer lifespan and the peace of mind that your expensive tablet is capable of handling whatever you can throw at it for however long you plan to hold on to it.
Get the iPad Air and 1 TB external SSD (USB-C 3.1 preferably) and you are golden!
