Gonna upgrade frm the galaxy tab a 2016 (10.1) to the ipad 8th gen ive watchd a bunch of reviews its amazing for me i love it im gonna purchsse it in may 2023

i’ve had this for 16 months. everything works perfectly for school (goodnotes 5, notability, onenote). the sreen is fine and i use a case with a display protector. although the battery kinda gets worse with time, like all devices, all in all a good ipad.

A friend ask to buy one from me:) so I am here to check the data of iPad 8th gen. Honestly it's luxury with its A12 bionic chip. But the screen is a pity.

I'm still using it after 12 months and I only charge it twice a month.
It has completely replaced my laptop. Its processor is sufficient for now.
Will upgrade when the bezel design will be updated.

Also, if it really bricked (bricked, by definition, means the device is completely unusable and unresponsive, so as usable as a brick), then why would you have the screen replaced? I'm not saying you are lying but maybe used the wrong words. And of course, glass is glass and glass cracks

But what to do when it will s... moreThe iPad Air 2 from 2014 is still supported so you should not have to worry too much, especially when you buy the new 9th Gen iPad as it has one more generation newer SoC. But the 8th Gen will also be supported for a long time

Next time when you're gonna buy a tablet, please check that's durability test before. Cz nowadays tablets are slim, hench most of them are so less durable

I am sorry, but this is just another overpriced, mess of a tablet like the last few.
I bought this from an official Apple store on November 21, 2020, and was so excited to use it. It also took me about 2 months of saving money and longer shifts just to make enough to buy this. So, I was pretty excited.
But, during December, it's bugging me to do an update. Everyday, I get asked to update about 10 times. So, on December 30, I decided to update. It finished about 20 minutes later, and it ran smoothly for ths first week and a half.
But, on January 11, I tried to turn it on, and it wouldn't. I kept trying for over an hour, and it turned on, just 40 minutes before our Zoom call. But, it bricked. There wasn't any touch response, and I was getting even more worried. Then, I left it.
After 20 minutes, I heard something drop in my room. And I found my cat on the desk, and my iPad on the floor. She knocked off the iPad from the desk, and the screen was cracked. Just my god fulking luck (censor due to policy violation, bleh bleh bleh). We had tile for floors, and it cracked pretty hard. Uhhhhhh...... so I took, it to the repair shop.
It took them 3 weeks just to try and fix a bricked and cracked iPad, but they couldn't so, I tried with 3 other shops in our city. And all 3 shops took over 2 months. Atleast 2 and a half weeks with each. Each shop had me call them at least thrice, and everytime, they would say something like "Oh, the screen replacement is still being shipped" or "We're replacing the hard drive since it was broken but it hasn't came yet". Uhhhhhhhh.....
On March 14, I gave up and just didn't ask people to repair it. Oh, and I had to take that call on my phone instead. It's such a hassle to just take the iPad to a repair shop. I tried turning it on, and the 3rd shop had put in the wrong screen since it was scratched and scaved. The 4th shop made it even worse. They replaced the screen, but they damaged the inside screen and had a whole section to the side just black. Ohhhhhhhh gooooooooood.....
I had a Galaxy Tab S3 before this and it's been dropped about 15 times when I had it. And it only suffered a small crack that one trip to the repair shop fixed. With this, just 1 drop, cracked. It bricked after an update, it only lasted for about 7 weeks, and I spent soooo much money on it. Well, fun while it lasted. Next time, I'll go with a Samsung tablet, cuz' on my experience, iPads do the worst.
