iPad Air is best Tablet I have used. It has best battery back-up and ease of operation is just awesome. Games and apps experience is best in iPad.
I also awn an Androud Tab. Android tabs have advantage of microSD card and can play movies of most formats with ease. in iPad however we have to convert the movie first and copy it through itunes from a computer/laptop.
iPad is worth its cost

It is good????
Not just good.
Best battery, best viewing, best gesture support, best sleep wake feature, best game/app enjoyment, and best weight to size ratio.
But its a premium device, make sure you already have enough money for phone and PC/Mac before you consider this.
The other one that comes close is samsung's 2014 edition 10.1 tablet, heavier, less battery backup, harder to navigate and lack of optimised tablet apps.. but cheaper and is a all in one device.. consider the LTE version.

Android have awesome launchers, but the apps are bloated phone versions. The navigation is horrible also.. the 3 software keys / or the 3 hardware buttons is a pain to press in 10 inch formfactor unless you have 3 arms.
If you have rooted your tablets, you should install GMD GestureControl, you know what you are missing all those great navigation gesture already on the iPad.

For tasks such as reading an ebook or wathing videos, larger screen of a tablet is more suitable. Taking notes with an S-Pen (Samsung Note 2014) is also better done in an 10 inch display.

If you fell like android is waste you can root your android phones and put ios into it or you can make partition of it and use android, ios simultaneously, hmm many people don't know this so they still go for iphone and ipads which have less performance than android phones. I suggest better go with samsumg because we have lot of customization options not only that we can find lot number of features. Present leading(benchmark results) smart phone is samsung galaxy round even better than note 3.

iPad destroy old casual PC using.. never did wait 5 mins for PC to bootup just to browse web anymore.

It still have the same godl... moreThats what im saying, people have tablets and are feeling pressured to buy one if they dont have already but they end up collecting dust. I regret buying tablet, its utterly useless for someone who have an ok smartphone with reasonable display size (4 inch is not reasonable size, maybe thats why iphone owners use tablets more than Android phone owners).
Now my daughter want iPad Mini w.Retina, i take the chance since its smaller and hopefully isnt as useless and wasted as a regular iPad or 10 inch androids. I suggested she buy a 5 inch phone instead, much better for games and browsing, a true all in one device but kids, and girls in particular, dont want to be practical, trends matters more.
For adults i think a combination of the hype, lack of knowledge and unrealistic expectations is the main driving force for buying tablets. For iphone owners its the need for a bigger display device, obviously a 4 inch phone is not a viable all in one device.
