The main drawback is the lack of videocall facility - no secondary camera. So 3G is useless. No cardslot. The display resolution is average. Camera is average (3.15MP, No java enabled.
No radio, no office viewer/editor. The important thing is the battery capacity is very less compared to other smartphones.
The advantages are 256MB RAM, 16/32MB internal memmory & 3.5'' display.
So think twice before buying this phone.
So think twice before planning to buy.

People know this is one of the best phones in the world! people who cant afford the phone become haters. Congratulations Apple on a great keynote, Just like you computers you have increased speed (2x) and capacity for the same money!

There is only one thing i like in IPHONE...
its Millions Games And of Appz, its pure fun...
but too much limitation.. trying to create monopoly.. but i guess they are fail...
Compare to futures its very very very expensive phone ? whr the h3ll phone for Middle class people :O
Thx to Nokia and some other brands for release some kick a$$ cheap price cells !

this is the phone to have, but its a shame its not 5 megapixals and no flash, no front camera. otherwise its amazing. i have been hearing that there will an iphone nano is that true?

what can i say about the Iphone well.... I'm in love its so sexy and sleek nothing that i ever seen before it makes me feel like I can do anything (and perform better in bed to) everyone would have to agree that this phone just takes your breath away

hats off to samsung, hats off to htc, hats off to nokia .real phone company where people take their time and bring us great and new ideas every time ,every year with new mobile phone.unlike apple who just takes the same phone adds apps that you can buy yourself and call it a new phone.does anyone notice that the camera is still the same size but it is surpose to be 3.5 because apple said so with no flash.samsung, htc ,nokia thank you for giving us real mobile phone that is worth our moneys.iphone3gs 3 out of 10

What prevents Apple I-Phone from going from good to great is (The GSM rating has only been around 6 - 7 for all I-phones... Great phones have a 8.5+ rating)
1) No dual SIM
2) No Slider Kayboard
3) No Stylus input
4) Software features still to catch up with Nokia , RIM , SE and Samsung + Win Mo / Simbian
5) No OLED Screen
6) Battery Life
7) Call drops
8) High Radiation levels (Apple wake up to this)
9) Software features that must be addred but are sold...
10) No XENON Flash
11) Replacable battery
12) Standard Charger (Mini USB) and Headphone jack
13) Stereo Blue tooth???
14) Not 4G compatable (not ahead of the tech curve)

So when your kidnapped and taken to a undisc... moreThe main reason that many smartphones are having compasses are so that when you are using a gps application, it will orient the car in the phone to look like the orientation that you are in real life. The phone without compasses on board, will get a bit crazy if you are stuck in a jam and will not know which direction the car is facing in real life.

This phone is an official flop, because it's more expensive than a N97 32GB and a Ipod Touch combined!!!
But I actually think Apple wanted to "test" the market. I even this crap will sell, then there won't be any point of upgrading it further later. However, hopefully it will fail, and Apple will have to do a new remake, and quick as well. Of course Apple will do so, because there are currently a lot of unsure people that was put off by this announcment, even if they'd lose some sales or fans for "admitting their fault".
Don't buy this yet, wait IF it'll flop! If yes, then a new and BETTER version will be guaranteed!
