For as much as people want to put off IPS-LCD. A lot of people depend on IPS-LCD. Some brands like Motorola have found a way to smooth out the PWM controller when the brightness is closer to Max. Currently it's not all inclusive since the brightness must be at or near 100%. Until engineers can come up with a way to solve the problem of strobing the light over an OLED screen. Companies like Google, Samsung, and apple must consider at least an option for people that need it. Even if that means making a single phone line every three years so be it.

The Xr is still a solid phone in 2023 and it will be until atleast next year or 2025, it's a good budget iphone atm if someone can't spend the extra for the Xs or higher.... if the battery health is above 80% u should get around 5-6 hours of screen on time with heavy usage minus gaming

Which one is better in 2023Neither. Both will stop being supported with OS updates from this year end.
Go for S21 FE as prices have reduced a lot since last year and is an excellent phone currently at Android 13 and expected to upgrade to 14. Or if you can wait till year end the S23 FE may be around the corner with 4 major OS updates in the pipeline.

I got the iPhone XR on September 30th, 2022(Phone was originally activated in November of 2019) as a replacement to my iPhone 8 with a swollen battery. I haven't really had any issues on it or really much except the OLED displays on the newer iPhones that really make me want an upgrade. The only reason I'm going to upgrade when I have the money is because the battery is not doing great(84% health), but it went down from 87% health when I installed the iOS 17 Beta and started draining faster so I'm going to wait for the stable release to make a final decision on upgrading.

They Have Better Processor and display than the Xr, Even Through The iPhone Xr is your choice If You Have Limited amount of money.
